Stopped in for lunch on a rainy Friday, the pub still seemed a bit too well lit for a faux-Irish joint for me. Plenty of stuff on the walls to try & convince you are in an Irish pub, but way too many TVs

Beer quality was nice, both the Mirror Pond & Piney River Walnut Wheat were in great shape

Service was friendly & prompt

Plenty of Irish & English choices, plus a few craft selections, about 14 taps, just standard bottled offerings

Food was tasty, the Calamari was great, shocked at how good it was, the Irish egg rolls were tasty too, My son's cheese burger as average

Very pricey, other than Old Chicago, this might be your best option especially down at Branson Landing

Irish Pub, in an upscale part of Branson...We thought Awesome!! It was anything but. Selection was pretty poor, except 1 bottle of Stone Smoked porter..ya 1 bottle. We ordered 2 but were told only one was in stock. There was also some Marshall Brewing beers on the menu, which is awesome! The Stone Smoked was OLD, not sure how long it had been there, but the smoke had faded into obscurity. None to be had. The bar was not as clean as I had hoped and the food tasted like it ha been frozen then thawed and cooked. Both me an my fiance were not impressed. Sorry guys, try again.

Waxy O'Shea's is an Irish-style pub in the middle of Branson Landing. I went on a Wednesday night to hear a friend's band play. It was a full house for a couple of hours, but thinned out around 10pm. Lighting (at night) was nice and dark, like a pub should be. Fortunately, (for me) they do allow smoking.
The first thing I noticed about their beer list was that there were no German beers at all. I realize it's supposed to be an "Irish" pub, but they do carry several Belgian ales, some craft beer and the typical American rice-beers. Nothing German. They had a few British ales, but nothing from Fuller's, Greene King or Belhaven; just a few Samuel Smith products and Boddingtons. The only Guinness they had was the watered-down Draught version. I didn't see O'Hara's Stout on the list, so I ordered a Gulden Draak. It was served in a pint glass. I kid you not.
Note: Do not let the waitresses pour your Belgian ale for you.

Overall, Waxy's has great live bands throughout the week and probably has the best beer selection of any pub/nightclub in Branson. But, it is Branson.

Waxy O'Shea's is an Irish-style pub located in the Branson Landing area on the lower arm of Lake Taneycomo. I had to stop when I saw a chalkboard sign reading "Lagunitas Hop Stoopid $6." For a bomber of a brew I'd not had, I couldn't pass it up. Place was fairly busy on a Tuesday evening and I sat at the bar. Several HD flatscreens in the venue for good sports viewing. A bit smokey, but not bad - mostly from the pool room in back. There is a patio that overlooks the "Fire and Water" fountain at the bottom center of the landing where high pressure water jets, lights, and huge gas powered flames shoot upward to classic rock music each hour starting around 6pm - pretty cool. I noticed Lagunitas Brown Shugga (isn't that an Oct release?) and IPA at the handles. Didn't notice anything much out of the ordinary at the taps otherwise. Maybe some New Belgiums and an ESB. The guy next to me asked what was in that bottle she gave me - the label was kind of torn up. I ordered a sample glass for him and gave him a pour of the Hop Stoopid. He effing loved it! He admitted he didn't know anything about "strange" beers and ordered a bottle for himself and poured me some as well. I pointed out some others for him to try before I had to leave. May have just landed another soon to be BA. Menu looked okay and reasonable, but I did not try any of the food. This is the best place in Branson to have a pint that I know of so far. Worth a visit.

Decided to stop in for dinner and some craft brew. Walked in to a sign that said "Please Wait To Be Seated" and the host looked at me like i was an idiot for standing there and told me i could seat myself. Maybe some kind of joke, who knows. Had several signs of various Irish-based alcoholic beverages and posters displaying the arrival of Lagunitas Fusion-4 ale.

Waited a few minutes for a waitress as they seemed understaffed. Once attended to I ordered the Fusion 4 and some wings. The beer was served in a jelly jar, which i soon found out was the actual Lagunitas glass. My fish sandwich was pretty disappointing for 9 dollars, wings were okay, and my girlfriend had the RLT(an irish BLT) which was pretty good and cheaper than my sandwich.

Beer selection was decent but nothing too special. Probably would come here again if in Branson (limited options here). Good way to take the edge off of walking around The Landing all day.

The food at Waxy's is okay, if you have one item try the scotch eggs. Beer selection is great for Branson, but just above average for the rest of the world. Not many craft brews, but you can find Magners, Young's Double chocolate Stout and several European Beers. This is a great place to spend St. Patrick's day with live bands and good specials. Prices range from 4.00 for BMC to 5.00 for anything good. They pour a correct guneiss and if you like mixed beers, try a Chocolate Covered Apple. My favorite place in Branson, but that doesn't say much, compared to bigger cities.

This one of my favorite stops in Branson when I am in town. I love the food there. I was raised in Isles and for a spot in the Missouri it is pretty authentic. It has your usual American adaptation of a pub atmosphere but that is usually fun. The service is usually good. They are always pleasant. They are also knowledgeable of both the food and the beer. This pub usually has some good specials as well. I have never been there at night but I know that from time to time they have live music and my buddies say it gets packed. Most of their British beers are bottled but they do have some good beers on draft. Overall worth the visit if you're on the Landing.

Waxy O'Shea's was the best place that I found to get a beer while in Branson, MO. Branson is the very definition of a tourist trap and most of the bars reflect that. O'Shea's sported around 10-12 beers on tap, mostly Brit imports. The same goes for their bottled selection.

While there I enjoyed a Boddington's, a Beamish, and a Smithwick's on draught and an order of Scotch Eggs which were fabulous. Nightly drink and food specials and it appeared that there was often live music. Not non-smoking.
