This beer poured a nice hazy golden color with a small head. The smell was a nice straight up hefe with some added citrus from the lemongrass that really added a lot. The extra citrus shows up in the taste as well, and offsets the banana and citrus flavor in the beer well. This beer has all the characteristics of a good hefeweizen with a bit of extra citrus. A great use of extra ingredients to improve a beer instead of trying to make it taste like something other than beer.

Poured from can into weizen glass. Clear, deep straw color with fluffy white head. Intense, yummy lemongrass aroma. Taste followed nose. Zesty feel. One of my favorites at the brewery and pairs nicely with just about anything. I would highly recommend.

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of lemongrass with sweet wheat malt is enjoyable and refreshing. Taste is a nice mix of sweet wheat malt notes with some lemongrass notes clearly distinguishable. Body is full with medium carbonation. Well-made wheat beer with nice balanced notes of lemongrass.

16oz can drank on Sunday from a 4 pack brought back from OBX by my daughter. What a great kid!
poured into a tall glass, hazy orange body with a good bright white head leaving nice lacing.
yeasty, cereal aroma.
Good solid wheat beer taste, hits the right notes, and then there is that faint citrus taste from the lemongrass.
Mouth closes in on full, finish is hay & wheat with a touch of lemon.
Overall, very refreshing beer. Given it was in the low 90's in PA on Sunday, this 4 pack, split with my brother in law, did not last long. Would be happy to have this again anytime.

Poured from the can into a wheat ale glass. Canned Dec 21st 2017.
Deep pale golden yellow, with lots of strong rising amounts of carbonation. Big soapy and gushing light white head out of the can. Fills like a big hefe but with much more control. Soapy rich lather and quite a bit of staying power surprisingly. Large amounts of rising pin head carbonation through the body, making for a very nice looking brew.
Aroma has a bit lemon grass as advertised, but it also has unfortunately a bit of a soapy smelling character too. Perrfume soap, with minimal sensing chewy wheat quality on the nose as well. Bold, but a bit strange.
Palate sort of improves but not by much. A lighter flirting with wet body mouthfeel, and lacking in wheaty chewy texture and flavor. Soapy tasting still as well, but manages more tolerable than the nose. Large amounts of peppery grass and a good herbal hop tone mixing in nicely, but fairly soft and subdued. Slightly faint sticky yeast quality but with and odd taste.
Not bad, and certainly a good cold refresher too, but has a bit of odd qualities to it.

Sampling a 16 oz can from my buddy Waldo567. Had the beer poured into a snifter at cellar temp. the beer pours a very cloudy golden color with fluffy bleached white head of 3 cm. The head fades to a sturdy island and edge layer shortly after the initial pour.
The aroma is rich with lemon and cloves and some bready yeast notes. I also get a bit of wheat twangyness on the nose.
First sip reveals a light body with a crisp texture and gentle fine carbonation.
Flavor is a bit of bready yeast and some wheat cereal hits, but this rolls quickly to spicy cloves and lemon, lemon, lemon. Not tart but also not sweet, just well balanced citrus. The beer lingers with this tasty lemon flavor and is very easy to drink. Crushable on a hot day as a nice fruity hefeweizen.

This is clearly labeled as a Hefeweizen on the can, not a pale wheat ale; also labeled as 5.2%
