Morebeer is great... good selection... good prices... the only reason I gave them 3.5 stars in service is because I get stuffed shipped from their Pittsburgh location... I live 1.5 hours from Pittsburgh but still have to spend $59 to get free shipping... I'd order a lot more stuff and more often if they had a lower free shipping minimum...I can't justify spending $59 dollars when I only need $20 worth of stuff... Northern Brewer has free shipping on $30 orders... I'll bump my order up to $30 for free shipping... but I won't bump it to $59 for free shipping... if you get my drift... otherwise phenomenal site with phenomenal product .... hope they rework their shipping minimums based on region/mileage...

Located in an industrial park, the core of the business is wholesale, but they are a fully equipped homebrew shop as well. The showroom is good-sized, stocked with all your standard brewing equipment and ingredients, as well as more advanced equipment such as Blichman conicals. There is a great selection of books and back-issues of Zymurgy (into the 90's).

The only drawbacks I noticed are that on the yeast front they only carry Wyeast and a few dry yeasts, and they are closed on Sundays.

Helpful staff, and a good, close-by resource for those in the southern part of the east bay.
