This award winning porter gets its luscious dark color from the generous use of roasted malts. We bring just the right amount of hops to the party to balance out that malt backbone and let the stars of the show shine. You will get heavy notes of chocolate and peanut butter to question whether you’re drinking a glass of de- licious suds or popping a peanut butter cup in your mouth.

Well I am sure it has some peanut butter flavor but damn does it taste like beer! Like a hardcore Coors sucking beer flavor damn I can stand artificial favors but is is even a Porter? Tastes of an imperial lager with some peanut butter and smokey ash tray.

Can't believe i paid good money for this...

Though I do like to try new and unique things, every now and then I come across an unpleasant experience. This is one of those experiences. Great looking and deliciously smelling, it was very astringent on the tongue but a very bitter taste. I don't mind finding or trying something off-style, but this was way off. If you're into bitter IPAs, this is definitely up your alley.

Have to admit, I wasn't expecting much. Drinking a peanut butter cup is gimmicky. But this one was surprisingly good. First, it's very smooth and full-bodied, almost to stout level. The chocolate and peanut butter sweetness is balanced by roasted malts, so the flavor--deep flavor--never gets cloying. Chocolate, peanut butter, and it's still a beer! Not sorry.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of peanut butter, chocolate. Taste is peanut butter, some notes of chocolate and coffee. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall I have had better peanut butter and chocolate beers, but it ain't bad.

Sought out to buy a porter somewhere in my town and this is all I could find. 12 oz into Spiegelau stout glass. Look: nice oily consistency with light tan rocky head, a couple of fingers, leaves beautiful lacing...
Smell: smells artificial, mechanical, earthy peanut, old coffee with mediocre brownie, bready. Taste: fake peanut butter and coffee leaps forward, taste is ruined by artificiality that is immediately apparent, aftertaste of metal. Feel: great feel, smooth and creamy, not too much bitterness with suits this brew well, not boozy, boastful artificial flavors mask the alcohol well. Overall: depressed that I bought a six pack of this for 14 dollars, don’t want the rest of them, somewhat interesting if you’re only drinking one.

12oz can into snifter

L- Blackish pour with little head that faded rather quick
S- Kinda of an off-putting peanut butter smell, not very sweet or particularly pleasant
T- Ok but nothing on the upper side of good. Drinkable but lacking in depth with a funky little aftertaste
F- Not very thick or coating, ok mouth feel but certainly nothing notable
O- Ok for one but I'd be very disappointed to have to sit through a 6 pack of them...miles away from Untitled Art Peanut Butter Cup

Black with frothy, rocky, mocha head

Roasted malts, peanuts, light chocolate that’s more prevalent on the flavor.

Smooth, creamy, semi hoppy and sweet. Ok bitterness and carbonation

Solid enough, nothing special but does the trick of you’re into these flavors

This is a smooth, thick, and flavorful beer. Not too sweet. Just right. Love it!

LOOK * really dark brown / nearly black - nice 1-2 finger head out of a 12oz can - ok head retention but dissipated quicker than I had hoped - lacing remains after
SMELL * chocolate syrup and some coffee - not much on the peanut butter aroma - some but there's an earthiness mixed in
TASTE * grain and hop bitterness up front before rushing into syrupy sweetness with chocolate and coffee swirls and then some peanuts come in to the picture - a nice roasted nut flavor here that isn't overpowering (chocolate is very powerful) - slight charred / toasted marshmallow notes - very flavorful
FEEL * smooth, slick, and oily - could have been a bit more mouthfeel but maybe the peanut flavor changed the makeup of this one
OVERALL * this one was surprisingly good - the peanut flavor gets a bit chemically tasting - I imagine this had some artificial peanut flavor added in - some metallic flavor in the aftertaste - super chocolately - some coffee/toffee notes and just an overall great beer - dessert-like

Horny Goat‘s chocolate dial clearly goes to eleven. There is a porter in here, and some of the goober pea, but you will taste mostly a sweetness akin to Hershey‘s special dark syrup. In truth, I could imagine this being a Guinness Extra Stout with an outsized Infusion of the Hershey‘s. The beer pours a coffee color with a ring of small caramel bubbles. The smell and mouthfeel carry the same sense of syrup. The hoppy bitterness could go some way to salvage this beer, but it actually lends an artificial sweetener-like aftertastes that makes the chocolate even more cloying. The Belching Beaver‘s Peanut Butter Milk Stout is, among others, a better bet.
