Pulled from a sampler pack and poured into a pint

Poured a pretty orange color with lots of haze. Good head with some lacing

Smell is very complex, some tart some orange slightly spicy

Tastes very tart, this one is yeast driven. The orange and corriander come out nicely on the finish

Good body for the style. The carbonation is right on.

This was way better that I was expecting. This is a new recipe from the last time I have tried it. Very complex. Tart and refreshing.

Pours a clean pale yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, notes of citrus and spice. In the taste, a small spice and ends with a mellow lemon citrus. A small spice bite and lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dry spice in the aftetaste. Not my style, but overly spiced and a bad use of citrus.

Appearance: Just a bit on the orange side of yellow. Small head, blink and you'll miss it.

Smell: Citrus and spice. Wheaty.

Taste: Watery but the flavor that is there is good. Oranges, spice, wheat, a bit of candy sweetness. Clean finish.

Mouthfeel: Thin and light. Not much to write home about.

Overall: A decent enough beer. Or maybe 3 parts decent beer, one part water. After a few disappointing horny goat options I was somewhat dreading this one. But it's not bad. Not great, and a bit weak. But not bad. Probably wouldn't buy one again because there are better choices, but would gladly drink it if available.

Beer #3 from sampler pack.

A: A pale lemon coloring shows the slightest bit of haze. The head is pancake thin, concrete white, sudsy, and dissipates quickly. A light and spacious rise of effervesce is moderately paced. No window dressing from the vertically and retention challenged head.

S: Musky citrus of orange and lemon mix along with dry wheat. Very faint spicy nature with a light cotton candy sweetness coming on the close.

T: Watery wheat and citrus, makes not for a good start. Cotton candy sweetness, creamy musky oranges is thin in substance with an artificial type of flavor. Rather dull and unexciting, lacks a yeasty Belgian bite from the yeast and any defining character which put my tongue to sleep.

M: Okay carbonation brings a bit of zip but hardly enough to say its good, maybe average which is a step or two above the other characteristics of this beer. Decent body, a bit creamy with a citrus twang on the finish.

O: After having a couple of their beers (red vixen & horny blonde) and being unimpressed I was even more hesitant about this brewery tackling a style with the word Belgian in it. I really hate to put down beers, as someone must of was excited enough to think others would share their enthusiasm with this, but this is hardly bottle or pint worthy let alone six pack. Meh best describes my sediments towards this.

Upon twisting the top, I didn't get much feedback that the beer was still alive, no satisfying "ffssst" or anything. That being said, it poured pretty flat, lemon yellow in color. The head was dismal and faded quicker than Chumbawamba.

The aroma isn't a total loss, but it's no game changer. The wheat tones were about all that was holding it together. The expected notes of banana, coriander, and citrus were present but weak. That infamous cheap beer metallic twang chimed in to add an extra little bit of disappointment.

The taste is certainly an improvement and pleasant surprise. The yeast is evident, as well as lemon, and coriander. The finish has soft notes of Belgian yeast, wheat, and ripe banana.

I was wrong in assuming this was flat, it's got plenty of crisp carbonation. The yeast aids to a nice smooth feel with a slightly chalky finish.

As far as Horny Goat brewing goes, this is by far the most impressive and the only one I would try again. So at least I've got one thing figured out with this rather disappointing mixed pack....

Served in a FFF pint glass

This is part of my gift set from my girlfriends parents so a thank you to them for getting me beer I surely wouldn't have looked to try.

This beer pours a light cloudy golden orange color with a thin white topping of foam. The smell is pretty funky, it's like being skunked except it's not skunked, it just sucks. The flavor is like a wheat beer, with some funky fruit going on in the back ground. There is some fake banana flavor and weird almost white grape like flavor going on. It's not bad, but I wouldn't say I prefer it. The mouthfeel is pretty solid, I think it's pretty easy to drink in that respect. Overall this beer was decent, but it surely had many many flaws for it's style.

Absolutely no head forms up. The beer is hazy, and we cant see through. The aroma is dominated by oranges. The bitterness is not strong. The intensity of the taste and smell is low. The beer is thin bodied with a lot of carbonation. This one is very refreshing and a very good beer for the summer, nice and lite. would get it again on a hot day.

Got this one out of a mixed 12-pack.

Pours a nice hazy straw color, average amount of head. It has a sweet citrus smell. Taste is very much the same. Citrusy, some wheat - kind of a sweet smell. Medium to light bodied beer, pretty smooth drinking. Could put down a few of these. Pretty decent tasting. Nothing too special, but not bad at all.

Fairly tight aroma, especially for style. Yeasty, mild spice and some wheat.
Virtually no head with this pour and what bubbles do show up leave immediately. Brilliantly clear (nice, but not appropriate for style). Golden.
Note the dryness first. Rather grainy, but not necessarily with wheat, but barley noticable. Where's the spice? Occassionally get a touch, but really quite absent.
Actually a fair amount of body, bordering on hefty.
Not sure what this is as it doesn't necessarily meet any particular style (which is fine, but in this case it doesn't make a particularly appealing drink.
From the Cliff Klavin theory of drinking this one isn't worth the loss of buffalo, but I suppose if you get a free glass some might find that's a worthwhile deal. I guess other better beers will taste good in the glass.
Thanks Chuck, for nothing. :)

a: pours a light golden color with about a quarter inch of head that disappears quickly leaving very little lacing. Although there is a lot of carbonation rising to the top of the beer, the head retention is not very good

s: citrus, wheat and strong corriandar

t: very similar to the smell, strong corriander with a crisp wheat and citrus flavor

m: light bodied beer with a good amount of carbonation

overall, this is a decent wheat beer but I do not see myself buying it in the future

Poured a deep yellow with a slight haze. Not much head retention or lacings. Wheat aroma with a faint corriander smell. Wheat flavor again with a very light spicy corriander taste. Not much to discuss here. A fairly forgettable beer, but very easy to drink. I,d sstill take it over a Bud anyday.

A- Little to no head that quickly disappeared. No lacing doesn't look very promising.

S- Smells of a normal wheat beer with hints of citrus flavor and definitely some coriander in there.

T- Typical wheat beer doesn't do much to make it stand out. Can taste some of the citrus and coriander which is a pleasant taste.

M- Nice carbonation with a light mouthfeel.

D- This beer would go well on a nice summer day. Personally I wouldn't get it again but if your looking for a casual drink you this will satisfy you.

Thanks to BigBry for this one.

The beer is yellow-orange color. It does look like orange juice but a little darker. Absolutely no head forms up. The beer is hazy, and we cant see through. The aroma is dominated by oranges with a little bit of coriander. It does smell more like orange juice than beer. The taste is fruity and it reminds me of juice. The bitterness is not strong. The intensity of the taste and smell is low. The beer is thin bodied with a lot of carbonation. This one is very refreshing and a very good beer for the summer.

Cheers BigBry.

Made with coriander and wheat. Pours a light amber with a medium sized firm white head.

Big, but simple, banana Belgian and candi sugar nose.

Light/medium in body and a thin mouthfeel, a bit watery.

Flavors are very light and simple and mostly a light orange character. Simple fruit flavors.

A short simple malt finish.

Nothing special here

Brought back a 4 pack of one-pint cans from my last trip to the States, actually picked this up in Minnesota. "Ale brewed with coriander and orange peel".
Poured very cloudy, orange yellow color. Bright white head with good retention. Murky (but no floaties), would be a turn off to thoe who didn't understand the style.
Nice yeasty aroma with lots of orange and spice. Lots of expected Wheat / Wit flavors including coriander and orange peel, yeasty spices. Very carbonated, tingly almost burning on the lips and tongue. The orange flavor and smell, plus the fizziness reminded me of an Orange Fanta soda.
Origianlly bought it just for the can, not expecting much from the contents, pleasantly suprised.

Had this can for a while; over a year I think. I suspect it's a lager, but could be wrong. I was kind of apprehensive about drinking it, but it's really not that bad. Poured with a nice, foamy, frothy white head that mostly settled down to a thin layer with a little lace. Color is a clear shiny brass with a little bit of particles settling out. Aroma was a pleasant spicy Belgian wit. Flavor was a little less impressive with kind of a sweet soda pop cast. Body and carbonation are ok. Finish is like flavor and so not too great.

Pours hazy dark yellow with a slight soapy head that quickly dissipates.

Aroma is sweet and malty up front. Hints of lemon. Bubblegum, coriander, and clove.

Taste is similar to the nose. Grainy pale malt, and sugary lemon. Bubblegum. Mild orange peel bitterness. Finish holds mild spices - Clove and coriander.

Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied.

Overall an easy drinking session brew. Flavor is on the mild side.

Poured a nice slightly hazy orange with a light off white head, some nice retention with mild lacing.

The smell is light and slightly sweet with a hint of wheat, yeast, and spices.

The flavor is very traditional Belgian white, with a nice wheat and yeast flavors with a good bit of coriander, light lemon, some mild pepperyness and a touch of bubble gum.

The mouthfeel has nice carbonation with a light body.

A nicely done white that would be a good summer session.
