Pulled from a sampler and poured into a pint

Poured a perfect head with good lacing

Malty some busciut

The inital taste is malt. very smooth, malt gives way to a slight hop bite, finish dry extermely refreshing

Perfect balance on the mouthfeel This is not a world style lager Much fuller body

I love this beer. It is a extremley refreshing lager. There is the perfect amount of hop presence and mouthfeel.

As promised, the CAN review gets top billing in this rare opportunity to review a CAN vs a bottle on the same day at the same time. The CANQuest (tm) is paramount in such instCANces and so we proceed acCANdingly. The approved pic is of a bottle, but if you CAN get a CAN, take note of how much better the graphics look on an aluminum cylinder! CANs win that test every time.

From the CAN: "Drink Responsibly"; "Brewed [overlain on an outline of WisCANsin]"; "Carefull Crafted[,] Famously Fun."; "Bright Blonde Lager"; "This beer is brewed to be clean and crisp with the hops slightly edging out the malt on the taste. A generous addition of German hops will leave the finish quite dry which is accentuated by the softness on the palate given by the white wheat. Horny Blonde took Silver in the Premium Lager [CAN]tegory at the famous Great International Beer Festival in 2012." Don't get that on the bottle's label!

The Crack! revealed that the Goat squirts! I got a spray across my fingertips before I playfully turned her upside-down for an inverted Glug. She giggled and gave me just under three fingers of head before falling back down. The color struck me as being just a shade lighter than from a bottle, like Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4), but still with NE-quality clarity. Nose held a little more intensity in terms of the honey-like sweetness, but it was still clearly a bready lager. Mouthfeel was slightly fuller, medium-to-full, but not quite creamy, unlike the Goat's thighs. The taste was somehow fresher, more pronounced than from the bottle. Here, I was able to taste the grassiness of the aforementioned German hops. Finish was semi-dry to dry with the hops actually asserting themselves at the end. Once more, CANs win! Yay!

Well now, between my (recently departed for the winter) local, in-person trader, tone77 and I, this is the rare opportunity to do a back-to-back bottle vs. CAN review! I am going to start with the bottle and push its review to the bottom so that the CAN review (the more important of the two) will be on top and immediately visible to those with an interest in The CANQuest (tm).

From the bottle: "Bright Blonde Lager"; "Craft Brewed in Wisconsin"; The Goat depicted has horns, blonde hair, long eyelashes and large (ahem!) udders. At first, I thought that the Goat was in drag, but females may also sport horns. Fair dinkum! Although, if it is mating season, I will not be around.

I Pop!ped the cap since I, too, was becoming Horny thinking about Blondes & such. A gentle pour created a foamy finger of bone-white head that quickly fizzled out of existence. Color was Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 -5) with NE-quality clarity and the Gelt Gang showed up to get their hands on this Blonde! I have not seen Mammon, Croesus & Midas act this way in a while, but they were definitely up to their old tricks. Nose had a malty, bready smell and I was ready for something to wash out the taste of Horny Goat Exposed. Mouthfeel was medium. Taste was clean, bready with a honey-like flavor that bespeaks adjunct-free lager. Think toast drizzled with honey to get an idea. Me likee! Finish was in that twilight zone between semi-sweet & semi-dry. It finished clean, refreshing and a definite CANdidate for the summertime cooler (I think. CAN review is next.).

Not usually a fan of lagers but this one has a good flavor with a touch of hops on the back of your tounge. Smells of a wheat beer. Maintains a smooth flavor even as the bottle warmed unlike a real hoppy beer... Pairs good with a beef dish like steak...

12oz bottle served in a pilsner glass.

L - clear yellow color with a bright white head that became a thin layer with lots of bubbles rising from the bottom, lacing was thin and minimal.

S - malty with a trace of grassiness.

T - crisp, clean taste upfront with a pilsner-like taste on the finish.

F - light/medium bodied with a crisp and refreshing feel.

O - a good tasting beer that's easy to drink.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear bright gold color with a small white head. The aroma is malt with some hops in the background. the taste is malt and grain. Overall, a good beer.

Got this at the Party Mart just down the road from my house in Lake Mills, WI.

Pours a pale yellow color, quite a bit of foamy white head. Smells lemony sweet. Nice light bodied beer with a good clean taste. I enjoyed this beer. Very drinkable, I'll buy this beer again if I see it.

Pours a dark golden color that looks a lot less bubbly and clear as most light lagers, which is a good thing. A thin white head dissipates almost immediately.
Smell has a nice clean biscuit smell. Very fresh wheat and a clean hop smell. Nothing crazy, but nice.
Taste has a clean wheat start. There is a bit of a hop tinge, too, which gives it a bit of a taste.
Mouthfeel has a bit of a thickness, but a very crisp shot at the front of the tongue. Very refreshing feel, which is perfect for a light lager.
Drinkability is very good on this beer. It has a high ABV and a much better taste than most light lagers. If someone is looking to slug beers all day long, but not compromise taste, this is a great choice!

Easy drinking with a nice easy taste. You could drink all day or have a few, most beers pick their magic.

As usual with horny blondes, this one was suddenly calling over to me, so it was an easy pick up. She has a nice top, with just a bit of good head. She has a taste you can't complain about, unless you were looking for something a bit more serious, but with a horny blonde, you shouldn't expect an intellectual experience.

This blonde doesn't get down and dirty but I am sure you could make up for that by doing it all night long. Hopefully the horns won't wear off, but I think I might get tired of it and want something with more character.
