Served in an Imperial pint glass at BD Riley's in Austin. Nice toasty finish, a bit nutty front but not Newcastley harsh. Small head, slight earthy aroma, I identified as pecan only because of the name. A good drinkable porter, not the best I have had but if it is on tap it is worth a pint.

A nice suprise find at Flying Saucer in Nashville. Gotta love $4 pints.

The pour is dark brown color with a finger's worth (or so) of tan head.
Plenty of roasted malt, even a touch of smokiness comes through. The pecan nuttiness is there.
A very nice roasted porter base for this beer. The flavor is very complex, chocolate, pecans, coffee, and perhaps some sweet molasses too.
The body is medium with a low level of carbonation, but it doesn't detract from the beer. I was very glad to have finally tried this one, and to find that it was as good as I expected. A very enjoyable beer that I would have again.
