Thanks to my father for bringing me back a six pack of beer from Grand Canyon Brewing from his recent vacation. This was my favorite of the six beers, so I will put the review of it up first. The bottle had just a piece of paper taped on the bottle as it wasn't even up for sale at the point he got it, but he was talking to the brewer and explained what I like to do. So here is a little "shout out" to the brothers that run Grand Canyone Brewing as they are good guys as well.

Black color with wispy lacing on the surface and a rim of foam. Smoke on the nose. Smooth, silky mouthfeel and approachable flavor. The texture is "satiny" with a kiss of smoke. Very easy drinking. Nice mouthfeel and nice flavor. The aftertaste is a little smoky.

I also just noticed that whoever added this didn't know the ABV. The ABV is 5.4% according to the notes the brewers provided my father.

Poured into normal pintglass at Brightangel Lodge, Grand Canyon. appears like a typical stout with some lacing. Tastes nicely malty, smoky, and toasty. Reminds me a bit of Moonlight Death and Taxes. Taste doesn't linger and there is nearly no aftertaste. Beer is unusually fizzy even though bubbles are more on the fine side rather than coarse. Mouthfeel is positively effervescent. This isn't a particularly unusual beer, but if you're looking for a malty stout that's low in bitterness, this is a refreshing choice.

Pretty decent stout at 5.2%. Above your average bomber in its category. Decent roast through out the bottle. My bottle I enjoyed had a year on it (half of that was in the fridge) carbonation was a little high but it was still enjoyable
