Snake River Pale is an American pale brewed with domestic malt and plenty of Cascade hops. Golden in color, it has a citrusy hop flavor which is followed by a crisp, firmly bitter finish. Pale ale is a great foil to spicy ethnic foods and can also complement a salad well.

This was part of my haul from the Nice CANs III BIF and thanks to Poeksbeerdude for sending me many nice CANs!
From the CAN: "This is a classic American pale brewed with Idaho-grown malt and plenty of Cascade hops. Golden in color, it has a fresh hop nose and a citrusy hop flavor followed by a crisp, firm finish. Snake River Pale has been a repeat winner at the Great American Beer Fest: 1995 American Pale Ale- Silver, 1996 American Pale Ale - Silver, 2007 Bitter or Pale Mild Ale - and The World Beer Cup: 1996 American Style Pale Ale - Gold, 1998 American Style Pale Ale - Bronze, 2008 Special or Best Bitter - Gold. Snake River Brewing has twice earned the recognition of 'Small Brewery of the Year' at the Great American Beer Fest."
The Crack & Glug was a welcome event and it produced two fingers of bone-white head with excellent retention. The nose was very grapefruit-citrusy and mouthwatering for this hophead. Color was a deep golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Mouthfeel was medium with a really big citrus taste on the tongue. It was hard to believe that this was not an IPA! The finish was dry, pleasant and very refreshing. Now, I am anxious to try the IPA!

June 2018....pours pale gold, light copper, white foam around. Orange citrus nose. Fruity. Citrus malt flavors, light fruity mixture. Subtle, but delicious.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a nice clear amber with a modest off-white head. Initial impression is citrus-y West Coast hoppiness, with grapefruit, citrus rind, and a bit of lemon. Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is perfect. Finish is clean and citrus-y, with a slight lingering bitterness.

Old-school and malt forward. Smells primarily of grain. Great malt flavor with firm bitterness from the C-hops. It’s a nice palate reset and reminds me of craft beer from the early-2000’s, in a good nostalgic way.
