Stopped by based on the reviews of ba users while on vacation. When walking in there are two side one for liquor and one for beer and wine. The staff was very friendly very helpful and was very talkative and made u feel very confortable. The selection of beer was good, they had a variety of south carolina beers as well as the national microbrew standbys of stone, dogfish head, and sierra neveda. The growler selections were dogfish when I was there. The price being from PA was cheap for what I'm used to for a six pack and bomber, but it seemed on bar for the craft price down here. All in all a great place, I left with some sc sixers and my girlfriend left with wine. She was very impressed with the wine selection. If on the grand strand I highly recommend stopping by to pick some local stuff up.

Generic craft with year old IPAs.
Don't bother just go to piggly wiggly in market common.

The place had a lot of beer but mostly the usual run of the mil. Since I live 3 miles away, I stop by to see if anything "good" has come in.
I have gotten:
Founders (All Day IPA, Breakfast Stout,Centennial)
Great Divide (yeti)
Dogfish head 90 in a growler.
Bells two hearted

They have a lot of local beer which doesn't satisfy the pallet. Southern Tier is ok.

Overall it's a mediocre place. The Pig at Market Commons is way better

On my usual run from Charleston to Myrtle Beach, I decided to give this place a try to check out the selection.

Firstly, the service was completely absent. I saw two guys on the computer at the front when I walked in and neither one acknowledged me. On my way out, they were still playing on the computer and failed to even notice I was in the store.

The selection was really quite nice. I can think of anyplace near here, except maybe Pawleys, that has selection this nice. Most of the beers were warm and on shelfs on the floor but they had some in the cooler for immediate consumption.

I would skip this place. If going to MB, I would hit Piggly Wiggly. If going to Charleston, CBX or other places. This would not be on my radar again.

Great place to go for beer on the south grand strand! They have quite a few things you can't find at green's or Piggly Wiggly. They do growlers, too. Some of the stock is older, but bargain with 'em and you might get it on the cheap. I agree with the first poster that the staff's knowledge might not be top notch, but their customer service is. I picked up an "expired" Arrogant Bastard bomber for $2.00. Their prices are a little higher on some items and lower on others--worth a trip to price check. Great selection of SC brewers like RJ Rockers and Thomas Creek.

Just found this place recently. Similar to the Green's setup but a bit larger, with liquor on one side and beer/wine on the other. They could carry a pretty wide selection if they keep up with what's new in the state, though they're ahead of Green's as-is. Thomas Creek, Highland, and other pretty local brews. They have Bear Republic and Oskar Blues here, which the Green's in Myrtle Beach is still lacking. The staff doesn't really know their beer or anything but they're friendly and helped me take stuff to my car. For the area, a very good selection with reasonable prices. I'm glad to have heard of it, that's for sure. No more Green's for me!
