Shared at DLD15. Thanks Tim for sharing this bottle with me and Dylan.

Pours a medium-dark shade of brown, perhaps a bit purple. Half finger white head that dies down fairly quickly. Smells of tart, acidic blackberries and plenty of oak, mild funk. It reminds me a bit of La Folie; but with an assload of blackberries. Very nice sweetness that is dry. Flavour is similar, tons of blackberry fruitiness, fairly sour and tart. Dry, not particularly jammy, but plenty of oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, not quite jammy, fairly dry and smooth, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer with quite a bit of blackberries. Not sure it's better than New Glarus' rendition, but this is pretty dang good.

A- Looks like a dark Oud Bruin. So I guess a sh*tload of blackberries are in this, and you can see it. Very dark; and it is purple when you hold it up to the light. Very dark purple. Minimal lacing.

S- Great sour smell. That sour smell that makes your nose hair pucker. Definitely presence of blackberries. Some yeasty funk, but more sour blackberry.

T- Very sour blackberry. I would love to have that bottle along side this one. That is what I get.

M- Smooth, just the right amount of carb, maybe on the low side. Very well done.

O- This comes off as an Oud Bruin with lots of sour blackberries. Had this side-by-side with VSB a month after review of this beer with another beer buddy, and we both like AC Golden Framboise Noir over New Glarus Very Sour Blackberry

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Batch 1. Brewed 9/20/11. Bottled 10/18/12.

Pours a murky super dark reddish-brown with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, grain, funk, berry, wood, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with super sour fruit, funk, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a great smell, but the taste doesn't match up in my opinion.

Shared with JLindros and Francois.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark hazy purple garnet hue with a thin white head that gaffes to leave a thin halo.

S - Aromas of blackberry jam galore, rather sweet, light barrel notes. Just super berry jam goodness.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, great blackberry notes, jam, tart seeds and skins. Incredible blackberry jam notes. Super tart yet sweet.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, tart, lightly flemmy.

O - Overall this beer had excellent blackberry characteristics, really excellent jam notes.

this dropped in denver today, and it should absolutely blow up in the weeks to come. to me, this is hands down the best thing ac golden has released. i thought framboise noir would mean a dark wheated raspberry beer, but nope, this is a blackberry framboise, in so far as the two are linguistically congruent. beautiful dark fruit color, burgundy, purple, rich, not particularly heady but there is a thin layer of off white film. the nose is sour as heck, jawline sour, with berries on the back end, ripe and bursting with sunny dark fruit tart aromatics. the flavor is woody malt almost cherry sour at first, but it evolves into a really tart blackberry finish as authentic as any i have tasted. just bursting with flavor, its really incredible, I'm almost trying to pick seeds out of my molars. its that level. lots of sourness with the sweet ripe fruit in the finish, some wood to mellow, and enough carbonation to make it dance without letting flavor evaporate away. not to be missed, and the first of their beers worth the price they ask for them.
