Our annual fresh hop pale features 300 lbs of wet Centennial hops from BC Farms in Woodburn, Oregon. The hops go from farm to brew kettle in 4 hours. The abundance of hop resins create a spiciness, along with the classic orange-rind & floral notes of fresh Centennial hops.

Crowler from Growler Guys. Medium golden, bright and clear. Small skin of head, streaky lacing. Aroma is malty, cereal. Taste adds some nice earthy hops to the malts, still comes out a bit heavy on the malt side. Drying hops come in to finish it. Not a hop bomb, but good use of the hops to liven up the malts.

16oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a lightly hazy orange-amber color with 3/4 inch of just off-white head that had decent retention and very light lacing.
The aroma had a solid, yet soft, grain base, topped with the bold Centennial hops. very similar on the tongue, with a pleasing bitterness on the finish.
The body was medium, mostly smooth with a touch of coarseness at the back, and had a dry finish. Drinkability was good, I coulda knocked back a few pints of this. Overall, a nice use of the fresh hops. try it next year if you see it.

A: The beer is crystal clear golden yellow in color and has notes of amber hues along with a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of floral hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and also has notes of caramel malts and faint hints of orange citrus. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA showcases the fresh hops but isn't overpowering or that heavy on the palate.
Serving type: can

12oz can served in a snulip. Dated 09/13/21. Bought it at Ridgewood Bottle & Tap on Friday.
Pours a clear light coppery amber color with a smallish head. Smell is moderately grainy, moderately green. Light honeysuckle sweetness.
Taste is a very nice beer -- nice combination of malty flavors and resin sweetness, but not screaming fresh hops (maybe because it's two weeks old?). Wait a moment...the hops are coming out. Lots of resin bitterness. I still get more of a strong bitterness than a fresh hoppiness.
Mouthfeel is medium but very dry. Overall, perfectly nice pale ale, definitely better than average, but not a standout for me in the fresh hop field this year.

Pleasantly sweet and fruity, with a bitter bite. Pours a dark amber with plenty of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Aroma of citrus with a hint of conifer needles. Raw orange peel taste with some grapefruit. Average carbonation with some prickly acidity.
Rather malty to start, especially for a Pale Ale. Except for the lower alcohol, it's more of an IPA. Overall it's a rough and hoppy brew but fairly drinkable if you like the long bitter, resiny aftertaste. From the 22 oz bottle purchased in northwest Washington.

Nice deep gold, classic IPA look. Semi clean with hop juices swirling. Close to white head with decent lacing.
Not much fresh aroma going on. More of a classic orange marmalade blended with some evergreen needles, bit that funky, stinky Centennial onion goodness lies beneath.
Flavor is on par with above. Good amount of orange.
Crisp feel yet still down and dirty rawness with a wallop of bitterness.
Pretty good beer overall, but really doesn't showcase much of the "fresh hop". Cheers.

1 PINT 6 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in an IPA glass
This beer pours slightly amber in color with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with three inches of tan head that leaves rings of lacing as I drink it.
The smell is balanced between piney hops and caramel malt.
It starts out with a sweet helping of caramel. Then comes some floral hops. It finishes with light pine.
Medium mouthfeel
It is an average pale ale. It is fresh hopped but nothing really pops on the senses. It is easy drinking with a low abv, so the bomber packaging is nice.
