Amber golden color with a thick head with great retention and leaving laces.
Fresh aroma with citrusy and piney notes. Hints of tangerines and peaches.
Flavor with notes of intense pine, lemongrass, spices, flowers, malt juice, grapefruit, tangerines and oranges. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Refreshing and hoppy American IPA with a bold piney dankness surrounded by citrusy complexity.

Honey golden-orange. White head. Citrus and pit fruit aroma: mandarin and papaya. Miskier, damper taste like fallen pine needles. Bitter, acetic... acorns? Ruby red grapefruit and papaya green tea. Smooth body, light feel, crisp edged...the typical SIPA feel.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, consistently leaving a short head covering the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—grapefruit and oranges send out in particular—along with hints of tropical fruits.
T: The taste follows the smell and has more in the way of tropical fruit flavors including mangos as well as additional notes of pine resin. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is super sessionable and really packs in a lot of aromas and flavors from the hops considering its strength.

Pours a cloudy, yet slightly clear golden orange color. A nice solid frothy head displays excellent retention.
A big mix of tropical and citrusy hops aromas hit the nose, imparting a sweet juicyness. I pick up pineapple, mango, tangerine and grapefruit pulp. I also pick up some floral tones.
The palate opens up rather dry, with a subtle pineapple juicyness set against a thin and dry cracker malt. Not so much bitterness at first, instead, the fruity hops flavors begin to develop; light lemon in the middle palate, mango and grapefruit. A grassy hops flavor begins to develop in the finish, as does a growing bitterness. Furthermore, as the juicyness and bitterness continue to grow in tandem, so does a mild peppery spice and pine flavor; adding complexity and balance. Similarly, the malt body becomes fuller and breadier.
Light to medium bodied with a gentle carbonation. The mouthfeel is frothy and smooth. Nice balance.
Not the biggest fan of the session IPA style, hiwever, this is as good as it gets. It really grew on me, as I especially liked how it displayed some hops to malt balance.

L: Hazy translucent golden orange with a small white head. Decent retention and spotty lacing.

S: Grapefruit, pine, mint, green tea, honey, honeydew melon, and lemon.

T: Grapefruit, mango, mint, pine, biscuit malt, and honeydew melon.

F: Thin, but not watery. Well carbonated.

O: An excellent, flavorful session IPA with a great showcase of Idaho 7 hops.

Poured into a hybrid glass from 12oz can

A - a semi-hazy golden straw with a hint of orange. Half finger white frothy head and slight lacing.

S - The nose is much better than the taste to me, the taste is good, but the smell is awesome. citrus and pineapple, lots of sugar, pine, dry yeast, earthy grains and hops and lots of pine.

T - Uber bitter, if you're eating savory things, the hop gets kicked up another notch. lots of green earth, lots of pine resin, bright spring flowers, "sour grass" without the sour, hints of island/tropical fruits. dry as heck grains and malts and a very cracker like yeast

M - Medium plus body, decent balance (a bit hoppy), nice complexity, super acidic and medium carbonation.

D/O - This beer is more of a Bud or Coors of the IPA world. Something you can drink all day and not pass-out, when doing so. Most things I have paired it with kind of make the beer more acidic, bitter and astringent. Still really nice beer, goes down pretty well. but definitely not something you would want to slam.

Final thoughts - not sure the price as it was a gift. The below 5% ABV isn't my favorite but really great sessionable IPA.

Lawson's Fnest Liquids "Super Session #7"
$6.50/pint @ The Spotty Dog Books & Ale, Hudson, NY on 1 September 2018

Notes: Lightly hazy golden body beneath a short head of white. Average head retention and lacing. Bright, fresh, citrusy and piney hop aroma with some sweetish malt coming through as well. The flavor follows with a bold bitterness that anchors it and brings it to a dry, bitter, and hoppy finish. Citrus, but mainly pine lingers for quite some time. Refreshing. One of the better "Session IPAs" that I've tasted. Worth trying.

Exceptional! My new favorite by far...this is the first beer I have found with a reasonably low ABV that is still delicious. Nice balance and a bit of old school classic IPA vibes here - pine and concord grape are dominant flavors for me. Nice Sean!

A little closer to #2 than #5 was, Lawson's once again taps into the potential of "session" IPAs. All the flavor of a standard IPA, just a little lighter and more approachable!
