Pours a dull, hazy orange. Nose expresses a burst of grapefruit. Taste consistent with nose; however, it comes off a little artificial. Mouthfeel is light in body with a lively carbonation. All and all, I prefer the standard offering over the ruby red grapefruit.

Had this on 2019-05-12 in Columbia, PA from a 16oz canned on 2019-03-29; (gifted from matador677)

A - Hazy golden-orange with a 2-finger pillowy-white head and great lace.

S - Pink grapefruit flesh, mild-moderately dank, biscuit drizzled with honey, floral.

T - Orange candy, grapefruit flesh and zest, plentiful pine, lightly toasted bread with honey, grassy and herbal spice, pepper, gooey hop bud goodness that isn't as dank as the smell indicated. Finishes with a pleasant West Coast bitterness while retaining some grapefruit/orange fruit and malt sweetness for perfect balance. Tastes great!

M - Medium-full body and light-medium carbonation. Substantial, resinous, gooey, lightly prickly, dries nicely.

O - A fantastic beer that is similar to regular Double Sunshine. The main differences are the hazy look, a modest increase in aroma dankness, and a subtle shift towards grapefruit from the more orange-centric aroma and flavors of Double Sunshine; although the orange is still present. I like this a lot and rate it very highly; just not quite as high as the original.

Not much going on in the smell. Semi-hazy burnt orange color. Good lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is medium. Taste is mostly citrus, with a nice grapefruit rind on the back end. Drinks easy, and at 8% gives you a nice buzz at the end of the can. I wouldn't be able to drink more than 2 of these in a sess. Overall, a great addition to the Lawson lineup! Cheers!

Got a couple of 16 oz cans as a gift from my boss. Poured into a tulip glass. 1 inch bright white head and sticky lacing. Amber in color with some small white floaters throughout (perhaps the grapefruit?). Smells of dank hops, fresh cut juicy grapefruit. Prominent hop flavors and bitterness to start and a huge finish of grapefruit juice that lingers on the palate for a bit. Really great beer that plays well with the addition of grapefruit. I could see this being a nice one for enjoying outside on a hot day.

On tap. Golden, clear, foamy white head. Leaves a bit of sticky lacing.
Aroma is light. Fruit, hint of grapefruit zest.
Flavor is juicy hops, layer of sweet grapefruit juice, ruby red all the way. Some bitter grapefruit rind.
Moderate carbonation and a pretty hefty medium body. Adds a nice fruit and bitterness level to an already great brew,

16 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch plus white head over a slightly hazy golden body with nice, sticky lacing. Nose of ruby red grapefruit, other sweet citrus, and slight tropical fruit. Taste mirrors nose nicely with a gentle citrus pith bitterness on the finish. It's all about the flavors on this gem. Wow, what a delicious beer! Nice feel and overall, a winner from Waitsfield, VT. Cheers to Sean and his crew for an amazing DIPA!
