On tap, finally tracked this down after almost 15 years
A- pours a goldish orange with a one-finger foamy white head that has good retention and leaves some lacing behind
S- citrusy hops up front with grapefruit and tangerine, a hint of lemon. Undertones of mango, pine and a hint of bready malt
T- slightly sweet malty note up front is quickly followed by a wave of mango, tangerine and grapefruit pith. Mid-palate gives some piney resin as well as a hint of grass. The finish gives more mango with a slightly malty sweet linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation gives a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into the finish, high drinkability
O- delicious and well balanced, worth the hype

Pours a striking copper color with a finger of head. Some yeast floaties were also visible. The nose has notes of citrus, earth and tropical fruit. But, nothing really stands out. There is a solid malt backbone to this offering. However, there is also a trace of alcohol that starts to become intrusive by the bottom of the glass. The bitterness is fairly low-level for such a highly regarded IPA.

had to try this... on recco from a friend....$20 for a 4 pack> OMG, but I was mildly pleased....overall 3.75. I found it lacking balance and mouthfeel, very thin for my taste.
A: beautiful orange straw
S: piney, dank and sweet at the same time
T: a bite at first, not unpleasant, the taste is complex, pineapple, mango, pine tree...not bad
M: here is where it fell short for me, thin, like a heavy pilsner....not at all chewy....carbonation fell flat fast
O: good example, not a great.....I'll finish the 4 pack, but for $20 I can think of others....no regrets, but moving on

Cloudy deep gold/light amber, finger of off white head, decent retention, wispy lace
Lots of mango, grapefruit, some berry, cantaloupe, a bit of pine and dank aroma
Tastes like it smells, some bread crust.
Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation.
Good, but I don't get the craze

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is gold, chill haze, head is brighter white with fine to small bubbles, head presents at least one finger thick and lingers with a frothy top and coats the glass side.
Smell is big pine, earth, some dankness, pith, rind, grapefruit, lemon, honey, pale malt, very light caramel, some booziness.
Taste is more pine, earth, grapefruit pith and rind, some lemon, light tea, honey, floral and earthy hops, pale malt, honey.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, strong bitterness with a light dryness.
Overall an exceptional DIPA with near perfect execution - great look, moderate strength aroma, bright and potent aroma and mouthfeel.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 1/23/26.
Appearance: rich orange hue with a little bit of haze anda. thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: toasty malt with a good dose of sweetness and plenty of rich citrus peel. It’s very good indeed — maybe not super duper “bursty”, but juicy and delightful.
Taste: quite sweet, with a great orange peel and grapefruit peel flavor. Bitterness is present, but it’s not super high (at least, not relative to the sweetness). Damn juicy, though … a delightful beer.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: candied citrus peel … ain’t nothing wrong with that!
