A: Creamy, black pour. Head is dark brown with lasting retention and slight lacing

S: Maple brownie, almonds, roasted coffee, some smoke, leather, and wood contribute to the audacious aroma

T: Caramel, milk chocolate, molasses, hints of vanilla, and a strong presence of maple that’s not too cloying. This is quite interesting and complex, as the bold flavors digress with warmth and notes of nuts, licorice, fruits, dark malts, and smoked connotations transpire

M: Low carbonation, medium body, hidden ABV; the feel is light, creamy, sweet and smooth

O: A refined boldness: an elegant stout of more than one-dimension and no artificiality

Bottled in April 2015, opened in January 2017. Solid brew, but not a lot a lot of flavor

Amazing beer. April 2015 bottle. Black tar with a tall milk chocolate head that leaves a ring and some lace. Chocolate and maple syrup combine in the nose. Taste is straight up delicious! Mouthfeel is gorgeous, silky, not overly viscous, low carbonation. Overall, one of the best stouts I've had.

I received this beer from my son Jake. (brought him up right). Very dark with a boozy sweet maple, dark chocolate smell. Taste was not as boozy as I thought it would be. Actually pretty smooth considering it is 11%. Notes of maple, chocalate, caramel, and toffee that leaves a warm feeling in your tummy. What a nice treat.

Black and brown, small oily tan head. Enjoyable aroma, wow. When its poppin' here comes the maple and bourbon.

Coffee and chocolate malt, roasted medium range, sweet maple goodness. Have had a great bottle and a good bottle of this, Lawson's has been inconsistent in the couple of beers of theirs I've had. At times the mouthfeel is similar to a brown ale which continues to allow the maple to shine. Always hid the alcohol well.

This is an amplified version of the regular Fayston Maple Imperial Stout, with improved maple character on the palate, a fuller and thicker mouthfeel, and a very clean finish.

Bottle to tulip.

A. Black color, minimal amber fine bubble head. Fairly thick. Spotty dense laces - amber.

S. Bold flavor up front. This is going to be good. Bourbon ball - dark chocolate, almonds, crème filling. A strong maple note. Dark malts. Coffee. This has a complex nose that comes through in waves.

A velvety surge of coco, maple, marshmallow, bitter coco, dark malts, and hazelnuts. A tad boozy. Coffee

M. Thick, velvety, silky, full body, and moderate carbonation.

O. I love this beer. Very well crafted. I love how these complex stouts create waves of flavors and capture the flavors of sweet candies and desserts but are not sweet. A lot stronger coffee flavor than I expected. This is like a delicious black coffee with maple flavor infused into the beans
