Brewed with Pacific Jade hops from New Zealand and named after our youngest daughter, Jade, I hope you enjoy the unique aromatics and flavor profile of this new hop variety. - Sean

Bottles from the Warren Store, consumed once back home, reviewed from notes. Golden in color with a rich bone-white head. The Jade brings all the tropical lovely stuff I’ve come to expect from the NZ varietals - kiwi and mango with a big floral contingent and some peppery citrus zest. Pale and caramel malts bring a light sweetness and a nice, even grain flavor. Medium in body and carbonation. Balanced bitterness to finish. Loving the IPAs that Lawson’s is bringing to the table - some of the best anywhere.

On tap at The Blackback Pub, Waterbury VT. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a slim bar pour’s kind of head. Quickly dissipated. Some messy lacing. The smell had a sweet lush orange pulp along with some grapefruit peel. Slight bitter citrus and piney hops grind in for the balance. Subtle sweet earthiness underneath. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to combine nicely. But there’s a bit less earthiness. Light semi-sweet to bitter citrus and piney aftertaste. Smooth juicy finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs smooth allowing this to feel like I’m drinking orange juice. Overall, well, I absolutely loved this. Maybe because I had it on tap and fresh, I dunno. But I do know I’d have again.

Picked up last Friday at Beverage Warehouse. One of the few times I've waited in line for beer.
Pours a cloudy orange/blonde hue with a frothy white head into my glass. A buddy commented that modern IPAs and DIPAs seem to be brighter and cloudier than those just a few years ago.
There's a citrus bouquet in the nose. I'm not sure about the profile of Pacific Jade hops but I'm hoping there's more in the taste.
Acidic with grapefruit as the dominant citrus flavor with mango (?) as the other flavor. Crisp. Still quite fresh.
Lot of bitterness in the back end. Warms the throat even at 7%.
Definitely worth waiting in line for this. It goes quick though!
