Thanks to Lawson's Finest, my life is in peril! ...and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Pouring a hearty and hazy honey amber, Peril caps off with a dense blanket of ivory foam while hosting a bold hop perfume of citrus, herb, woods, grasses, tropical fruit and spices. Sweeter in early introductions, the beer is caramelized with hints of pastry crust, light toast and sweet nuttiness.
But once the hops pull from the aromas, the focus swiftly turns to grapefruit and orange peel with a candied hop tone. With lime, pineapple and mango adding to the fold, a juicy fruitiness in taste results. The hop bitterness quickly rises to chase away much of the malt influence as the hops turn decidedly bitter with torn pine needle, peppery resins, gin-soaked citrus peel and a fresh grassiness to finish.
Medium full, crisp and residing on the drier side of malty-dry, the beer finishes bitter, resinous and drying with a smooth and refreshing mouthfeel- dangerously smooth for its alcohol content and its ability to quench the thirst. This is a masterfully crafted beer and a godsend for true hop-heads.

Pours a hazy, dark sunset orange color with a fat finger of off-white head. Good retention and some decent lacing.
Pineapple, white pepper, pine sap and alcohol stand out in the nose.
Pineapple sweetness, light pine bitterness and some pepper again for a nicely balance taste.
Syrupy feel with light, tight carbonation.
Gives Triple Sunshine a run for its money, and I love that beer.

Brewed once a year and I just happened to be in the Tap room. Very nice. Hard to hide a 11.1 ABV but they did a good job doing that. Lots of times high ABV’s, in my opinion, have an alcohol taste first. This doesn’t. I had never been to the brewery before and was driving from point a to point b and Lawson’s got in the way. Yay but time and driving had me just trying two short pours. Distracted driving is not for me.

On tap. White head with some lace. Clear dark golden color.
Dank, resiny, weedy, floral. Very hoppy. Nice bitterness. Some citrus fruit, a bit of melon, strawberry. Pretty smooth for an 11% triple. Still has a bit but not bad.

12oz can from Lawson's. Cloudy golden pour with a thin silky white head. Aroma is toffee and pine. Hops explode at first taste, dank, bitter, resinous and alcohol warmth. Kind of sticky with lingering bitterness and heat.

Sampling a couple of 12oz cans out in The 'Zebo. Bought while vacationing in VT last month.
Pours a slightly hazy, rich but muted golden color. Has a thin, fine bit of white foam on top, mostly at the rim. Lacing is fairly decent. Aroma has healthy citrus notes, with pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, and a smidge of rindy action. Has a medium to medium-plus body, with plenty of smoothness.
Taste is decently balanced... lightly toasted malts with a smidge of sweetness before lots of citrus takes over. Pineapple, grapefruit and tangerine alight on the palate, along with some floral, herbal notes. Is a touch piney but never bitter. Not quite as good, for me, as Triple Sunshine,
which had more sweet fruityness. Solid!! Prosit!!

So I'm not quite digging this DIPA from Lawsons. Has a fumy, high alcohol burn going on. Sweet combined with pine bitter and fumey is all I can say. it's ok, but very average for a DIPA. Not up to Lawson's usual standards IMO.
