This poured out as a hazy orange color with a white head on top. The retention is pretty good, the lacing is sticky. The smell of te beer is loaded with hoppy grapefruit aroma and sweet candy-like malt. The taste is malty and sweet with a blast of citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and sticky. Overall is boozy, citrusy, resiny, an piney. All in all, very good stuff. Thanks DaveHack for tossing this one my way!

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy orange with a nice white head. Good surface foam and retention.

Smell - Herbal hops. Some grapefruit. Lots of sweet malts. Alcohol.

Taste - Herbal hops right up from. A citrus sweetness builds in the middle. It's a blend of hops and sweet malts. Finishes dry, surprisingly. Boozy, though.

Mouthfeel - It's boozy but it's quite drinkable. Medium heavy body.

Overall - Very good, but there are better IPAs of the same style. Lawson's never disappoints, though.

Short white head recedes to a cap and collar. Body itself is peach/dull orange color that's see-through near the edges.

Fresh oranges iareprominent on the nose, muted hops.

Orangey/cirtusy taste, not overly hoppy but leaves a bitterness afterwards. A bit of booze on the tailwind...11.2%abv sounds about right.

Smooth mouthfeel, lower end of carbonation for a DIPA but fits well I feel.

A very nice double IPA, different with its straight orangeyness. Had right after an old favorite in Double Sunshine...Lawson's have this hop thing down. Thanks egrace84 for the share!

Bottle shared by Barry- thanks dude.

This one pours a light amber-ish color, tinges of orange, with a one inch head, and lots of sticky lacing.

This smells really sticky. Tons of dank resinous pine, fresh cut grass, sticky weed, and a hint of grapefruit rind on the finish.

This is just herbal and green in the very best way. There's so much "earth" to it- tons of resinous pine bitterness cling to your mouth, There's lots of grassiness, sticky sticky weed, grapefruit rind, and a bit of orange to keep it from being overwhelming bitter and sticky. This does not have the flavor profile that I expected, but it's still exceedingly good.

This is medium bodied, and it finishes pretty surprisingly dry for the ABV. In fact- the ABV feels like a joke to me- there's no way this is actually over 11% ABV?!? The alcohol does not show itself at all. Crazy.

This is a really nice achievement from Sean Lawson- a big bruiser of an IPA that begs you to take sip after sip.

The aroma has aggressive leafy hops, grapefruit, and green pine. There's a hint of sweetness and alcohol.

The flavor follows of this awesome green pine with some grapefruit and lemon. There's a medium plus bready malt without an excessive sweetness. There's a bitterness on the end of resinous pine. The alcohol is extremely well hidden. It reminds me of Alpine Exponential Hoppiness.

One of the best double digit ABV hoppy brews.
