Visited earlier this week. Very impressive space, which looks new. All of their brews available, nice retail space, friendly staff.

This is an ideal place to showcase a New England brewery's beers, in the green hills, between forested areas. A big, shaved and lacquered log, ski lodge type building, which has lots of space inside, with a tall ceiling and windows all around. The kitchen has a small selection of well executed plates and the beer starts at real good and goes up from there, 'nough said!

This place did not disappoint -- with all of the hype, i expected a let down. Today there were 16 beers on tap. The five I tried were amongst the best I've had. Rather than emphasize the extreme aspects of any category, the obvious goal is to put their energy into the ingredients and the brewing process.

The food is relatively limited -- counter service only throughout.

I would categorize this as a place to make side trip to try. The building is spacious with an outdoor

Plopping down with a couple of brews at a picnic table outside of this ski lodge-like brewery on a perfect fall day felt too good to be true. What an amazingly invigorating first stop after our long drive in to Vermont. Their building is beautiful, and its surroundings only help to make it more so, especially in the autumn.

High walled, wood centric and spacious--if the leaves weren't calling us, we would have only been too happy to spend our session indoors. Ordering at the bar is smooth and simple, and adding food to your order gets you a little buzzer to notify you to come back in when your food is ready to grab at the kitchen window, keeping the staff as safe as possible given the times. The to-go area is accessible from the bar and dining room, while also separate, operating like a well-oiled machine, only outdone by The Alchemist, whose hospitality is otherwise nonexistent relative to Lawson's.

Anyway, you came here for the beer, and while I probably don't have to tell you this, believe me, it's well worth it. I've never had anything by Lawson's on draft before, so what was super impressive to me was that literally every beer I had on tap was markedly different than any version I'd ever had from a can or bottle. The bodies were fuller, fluffier, and more satisfyingly yet subtly expressive than I can explain. Everything was just top notch and then some. The charcuterie and cheese board we had was also wonderful, with more attractive cheese options than were available at Hill.

This was probably my favorite brewery stop in Vermont, even despite Hill offering so many "rare" beers on-site. Lawson's was just a total stunner.

Awesome spot to go have a beer or a few. The taproom is pretty big with tables for larger groups. There is a limited menu for food on site that is pretty good. The beer is excellent, good selection of their offerings. they don't do flights unfortunately but they do half pours so it's easy enough to try a few different varieties. Outdoor area weather permitting is really nice, good relaxing view. The vibe is laid back with a focus on their excellent beers. The service is excellent on both the food and the drink. Loved this place, can't wait to go back!

One of the nicest out door brewery experience with ample room and nice tables. Good selection of beer as well as food. I wish Lawson's themselves had a bit more variety, but they do great IPAs. I really like that they charge reasonable prices for those that come to the brewery, and they create a great overall experience.

Had never visited, old or new locations, until July of 2020. Since then, Alewife and I have had about 5 visits over 3 VT vacations, the most recent being last week.

Place is a lovely, spanking new edifice. Due to Covid we didn't get inside at all, save for the WCs.... Place looks awesome, though, from what I could gather. Outside they have numerous tables accommodating from 2 to 6, at small units or around firepits. Some are under the building overhang, others with umbrellas, and on cement or out on the grass... Soooo relaxing, as the location is quite idyllic, save for the small lumber yard across the street! They usually have about 10+ biers, though they are heavy on IPAs, with not enough malty biers to choose from. Service has been top-shelf throughout.... friendly and quite efficient. Special kudos to Gretchen and Jack.... We love swinging by here when nearby. Prosit!!

Definitely worth seeking out; when in VT be sure to add this location to your brewery stop. Located in Waitsfield (duh) it has a very homey vibe - clean, spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The beer selection is plentiful and well crafted - can't go wrong with any of their offerings. The kitchen is small but, in my opinion, is the way it should be... food highlights (showcases?) the beer. Great place to visit, have a beer (or three), and buy some cases for the road.

What am I doing here? Well, if you really must know, as my old college friends’ party in northern Connecticut is this weekend, I’m taking today and tomorrow to bum around Vermont some first and run down 91 the long way around. Let’s just say that 17 over the mountain by way of Bristol was a less than desirable run and leave it at that, okay? Side bar: Bobcat is still open? I did not know that. Are they still brewing? Focus, focus. So, Lawson’s on 100, it’s got to be around here somewhere. Find the Shawshank, it’s nearby…

Oh, there it is. That fancy new vaulted A-frame rafters and a lot of window sugar shack. It’s very Vermonty. Enter in from the parking lot as one does when they, you know, park. Sizable swag & beer-to-go room off to the left. Racked and wooden box shelved shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and more, and a rainbow of colored cans behind the counter coolered for their easy grab (Let us not kid ourselves here, there will be cans to go). And off to the right, a giant double-sided stone fireplace running up to the sky with cushy chair seating on one side and shorty ottomans on the other side. Foosball and a pair of multicade machines in the corner.

Past there, a spacious light wood topped ‘U’ shaped bar, with a dark wood vertical wide plank base & a piping foot rail; seating for a dozen and a half on light brown leather stools 3 sides around. Large center island piece with glassware atop and 8 non-descript handles from both sides + 2 panels of 12 taps on the wall on massive slate panels. I will set up here and beer as I do.

Plank wood floors. White walls with light wood trimmed and windows paneled. Phat wood uprights on the walls, with beams extending up and intersecting at the arch, and horizontal rafters on the angles all the way up. A pair of spins and drop cheese wheel lamps in 2 rows, plus some wall mounted pan lamps and some cool alt height filament bulb glass ball lamps over them tables there (me, pointing). A few black & white landscape pieces and a porch scene mural.

4 shorty roundy hightops adjacent to the bar and a dark wood divider behind me separating the bar side here from the seating side there. 2 rows of three dark wood picnics for the share and a baker’s dozen alt striped squares pushed together for doubles or more along the perimeter. Order & pickup food area along the back wall there. Yes, they’ve got light foodings, but did I mention Worthy Too is (like) a quarter mile from here?

11 beers up, I got to 9 of ‘em through shorty or canIgetjustapinchofthat (Scrag Mountain Pils, 4.8%, Czech Pils, love; App Gap Saison, 4.5%, dry, Belgian fruity esters, sure; The Space in Between, 5%, a dry hopped hazy ale with a little tartness like it says; Rooski Black IPA, 7%, Rooski Black IPA, and there’s the sweet spot between roast & hop, the style lives!, and thank you; Chinooker’d IPA, 6.5%, Boom! that’s pine fine, I guess this must be the place; Homestead Haze IPA, 6.9%, an all VT brew, no haze at all, psych; Double Sunshine IPA, 8%, I remember this beer now, dank as actual fuck, lush fruit, juicy mofo; Triple Sunshine IPA, 10.5%, that’s a big beer, pineapple, citrus; Maple Nipple, 8%, holy shit is that mapley goodness, a sticky sweety in just a real pleasant way), but didn’t get to the Stratford 2 (Super Session #8, 4.8%; Sip of Sunshine IPA, 8%). Scrag Mountain Pils, Rooski Black IPA, Chinooker’d IPA, Double Sunshine IPA, & Maple Nipple for the wins!

With beer in hand, I went on walkabout. Assessed the beer-to-go situation and had a look outside; a dozen picnics and chair/fire pit set ups along the wraparound brick porch area. I could do time in one such chair there.

Good crowd and building more so, this afternoon. Talking first to a kid who showed up telling me I should be drinking the Saison, then a couple of folks up from Boston, and finally a father/son combo out from Oregon on a beer tour (Treehouse & Alchemist this morning, and now Lawsons. They’re kind of badass, I want them to adopt me).

Beers are really damn good. Not really surprised by that at all as, well, yeah. And the place is really clean, neat, warm, & inviting. I guess from now on I’m running to or from points north of here via this stretch of 100. Lest I mention I got to share a table with Sean a few months ago at Paulie Gee’s slice shop in Brooklyn and just shot the shit over slices of Hellboy & Freddy Prince. He’s a good cat, makes a good beers. What? That was a stupid question; of course I got cans to go. I mean, duh.

Open, airy, lots of wood and stone, lawson’s tap room is inviting and cozy. Plenty of seating around the bar area or at tables, or choose to sit in living room style chairs around the fireplace. I sat around the fireplace and had a couple of fresh double and triple sunshine’s.

The food was good (I got a cheese plate) but nothing super special. They had stuff like grilled cheese sandwiches and chili on the menu. Service was top notch but casual.

The tap room is connected to the beer to go counter which has all the expected basics with occasional specials. I didn’t visit the brewery, but it is a quick walk across from the taproom.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, just wish I could have stayed longer.

On my favorite road in Vermont, Route 100, and in the quaint town of Waitsfield, this is a must-visit for any craft beer fan. Beautiful facility with plenty of room even on a busy day. Always a great can and draft beer selection, friendly staff, and a nice outdoor patio area with proper views.

Visited this world class brewery in the fall of 2019 with my wife. This is a MUST see brewery. The tap room is amazing complete with fireplaces. Service was excellent. Their carry out selection amazed me that they had a plentiful supply of the Double and Triple Sunshine. The only downside for my wife and I was that it is not dog friendly, yet. I talked to one of the brewmasters and he said they are hoping by next year the township will allow them to. So dog lovers stay posted to their website.

Visited with some family while on vaca in Vermont on Friday. Excellent set up. Great beverages. The waitstaff and bartendress was great, even appreciating a borderline joke when ordering their maple amber beer. Food was good and they had a water set up to keep hydrated and an outside fire pit. It all can be summed up in one word: "lavash".

Brand new and gorgeous brew pub. Lots of space to chill and mingle, inside and out. Walking trails via a boardwalk through a nice natural landscape (minus the beer)

It was a Tuesday, so service was easy as you order from the bar and counter area and move to wherever you want.

High quality goods.

Stopped by during Vermont Beer Safari. Beautiful newer building/wood emphasized brewpub. Very spacious with large long U bar and tables; large retail area as well.
Nice food menu. Some creative dishes. All looked good. My double hummus plate included Reg hummus with oil drizzle and black poppy seeds next to a beet hummus similarly drizzled but with sunflower seeds; then accompanied by small potion of marinated asparagus and beets and generous serving of sliced rustic Ren Hen country bread.Delicious and perfect with a Double Sunshine.
Great selection of Lawson brews.
Staff especially bar tender, Heather, were fun and great to share some time with. Other patrons all got into sharing conversation/ stories as well enjoying good background music, food and drinks. Had a great time.
