12 oz can poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance
Slightly hazy gold with 1 finger of creamy, off-white head. Decent retention with low carbonation.

Nose
Mango, lemon and caramel with somewhat herbal aromas. Hints of peach and passion fruit.

Taste
Biscuity malts sprinkled with confectioner's sugar. Mango, lemon and dank florals. Somewhat spicy and woodsy. Slight hints of peach and pineapple. Finishes fruity and spicy with notes of resin.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, oily, sticky and semi-dry.

Overall
I like this one only slightly better than the previous Simcoe and Ahtanum releases. I don't really know where Cigar City is going with this series of releases, but I guess it's an excellent business plan seeing that I keep buying each one and will continue to do so. Always fun but never groundbreaking.

12oz can from 6-pack received in trade from ASuarez, canned 1/8/2014.

Hazy, yellow-orange elixir poured into DFH chalice. Two finger, rocky, white head, replaced by thick rim during tasting. Plenty of lacing coats the glass.

Fantastic aroma that is all Citra: pineapple, orange, mango, peach--awesome!

The taste certainly follows--citrus as above with a smooth bitterness and the alcohol well hidden. Minimal malt that let the hops shine.

Medium body, smooth, nicely carbonated.

A nice representation of a single hop brew. The Citra hop is allowed to present itself in all its glory. If this is one of your favorite hops, grab this brew while you can.
