its neat to see some new cigar city flavors coming into colorado, i hope its not just for gabf this week but a sign of more to come. the core stuff just isnt that exciting to anyone anymore, so its nice to see some new ones coming around! this is a neat beer, and i wish it werent quite so sweet, but its pretty well done. the oranges and limes taste natural to me, and contribute a bright acidity of their own to the beer, which goes along well with the bacterial sourness in here, not super clean, but pretty properly refined as front side sours go. more lime than orange for me, zesty and even a bit perfumey. its quite salty as well, i can appreciate it all the way though, and it seems to make the beer more substantial, like it calls up the malt body a bit and seems to extend the fruit, more than just an accent here, this is downright salty as they go. drier would be better, but i like all the body and i think the sourness is right on, its nice with the brine, and refreshing for being so flavored. this is the kind of beer i think of when i think of cigar city, its very florida and pretty innovative. not sure i could drink a ton of it, but they have done a nice job with these flavors for sure!

My rating may have been alteted by the situation in which I had this beer. Standing in line at Hawthorne bottle shop in St Petersburg for almost 2 hours for J Wakefield stuff and getting mostly stouts. Just flew in from Philly and went straight from airport. Long pants in the Florida sun=no fun. Then went to Cigar City and this beer was so cold, crisp and refreshing it saved my life. Tart, lots of lime, loved it.
