The world needs heroes, and in our home state of Florida only a very special hero will do. A hero with a shark tooth around his neck, a Grim Reaper tattoo on his arm, and a rap sheet longer than his mama’s mustache. A hero who’s forgotten more about amateur taxidermy and alligator rasslin' than you’ll ever know. What better way to pay tribute to our beloved Florida Man than with a big ol’ Double India Pale Ale brewed with a nearly-criminal amount of hops and a moderate bitterness that just about matches Florida Man’s general disposition. This hopped-up whopper of a beer is big in character and guaranteed to sear itself into your memory, just like "the world’s worst superhero," Florida Man.

Enjoyed a 10 oz pour on 1-30-24 while dining at the CCB Spruce Street location for $7.50.
Beer was served a hazy golden with an okay white head.
Nose was nice with notes of citrus and tropical fruits.
Taste was very nice as the light pale malt base display hopping with notes of orange and mango. Finished with a nice rind balancing hop; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel was light bodied and very refreshing for a larger beer.
Overall a nice modern DIPA, would have again!

From a 12 oz can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass, hazy yellow pour with good translucent clarity and lots of carbonation fueling a white foam head that fades quickly down but never really goes away. Nose of citrus – grapefruit – sweet malt and maybe some funky pineapple and lemon rind? In the mouth it’s crisp yet smooth and quenching, fueled by that constant precipitating carbonation. Definite hops bitterness up front and in the back with a bitter lemon rind / sour grapefruit flavor attenuated a bit by a light smattering of malt to keep things from going too far toward the sour. 8.5% ABV is well masked. Overall, very good, enjoyable, would try again.

I didn't have high hopes for this DIPA. It pours cloudy and smells nice. Yet the first gulp fails to entice. Instead, you're hit with a hint of alcohol - the Achilles Heel of any DIPA. In contrast, the Stone Delicious Double IPA is a much better DIPA.

Poured from 12 oz can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy orange yellow hue with half inch frothy white head with good retention.
S: Mango, orange, lemon, and tropical fruit aroma. Hint of dry cracker malt.
T: Orange, mango, pine resin, and less prominent notes of lemon, lime, and tropical fruit.
M: Light body. Citrus and tropical fruit sweetness. Strong bitterness and astringency.
D: Decent but not superb. Refreshing DIPA.

Pours an unfiltered golden color with a soapy white head that provides moderate lacing. Looks great in my glass. The nose is rife with tropical aromas, including candied orange, mango, and pineapple, and there’s a bit of berry as well. Very nice.
This drinks SOOOOO smoothly, with the candied orange and mango most prominent, but those flavors allow room for some pineapple and berry flavors to shine as well, with a nice little malt note to balance this juicy and surprisingly bitter DIPA.
The mouthfeel is medium and adds to the drinkability, but it can sneak up on you, with some residual alcohol warming as you allow the beer to settle in. Really glad I picked up a 6er of this to enjoy whilst vacationing!

Very good but not great Dipa. Expected more from the Jai Alai maker but they did sell out. Anyway, easy getting thru this 6er but probably won’t buy again at 15.00 bucks

on draft, served in tulip glass
appears a cloudy medium golden color, foamy white head. sort of a hybrid of NE and WC IPA styles - well rounded hop flavor, a little juicy, but good bitterness. thin to medium bodied.
