Canned on my sister's birthday 3/21/ (14)

Pours mahogany colored with 2 fingers of rocky mocha colored head. Stellar lacing & pretty good head retention

S: Cocoa & coffee, faint plum & smoky notes

T: Roastyness, carob, slight dark cherry notes, & dryness. Some plummyness, carob, a little bit of charred grain & coffee as this warms, slight roasty/boozey edge to this. Finishes dry, roasty & with some leafy hop notes & carob

MF: Medium bodied, smooth carbonation, carbonation gets a little more prickly as this warms

An alright porter, drinks easy enough

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very dark brown color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of dark breads, some coffee. Taste is coffee, dark breads, cocoa, a bit of smoke. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.
