It pours a nice apricot-hue of orange with a very slight haze and a nice 2 finger head. The aroma is very restrained, with some slight soapy notes. The taste is fairly bitter toward the end in a very satisfying way. Some citrus and very mild pine. Lovely thick body, especially given the style.

I tried this beer at Bottlenose brewery. It poured a hazy golden with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Thank you Grizzarky for this
12 oz can, dated 8/21/17, poured into a snifter

A- A somewhat hazy golden straw color with a two finger white head.

S- Citrus, herbal tea, hints of tropical fruits, touch of wet grass, some pale malts.

T- Citrus, pale malts/sweet biscuits, slightly piney finish with a touch of floral hops, some herbal tea.

M- Smooth, light to medium body.

O- A solid APA, just wish I had opened this when it was fresher. Balance with hops and malts is nice, but the hops seem a little more faded than I hoped out of a 3 month old APA.

Fairly clear golden-orange body with a modest white head.

Aroma is sharply hoppy, featuring primarily citrus, with a touches of dankness and tropical fruit adding depth.

On the palate, the grainy character of the malt is what really keeps this in APA territory (vice full blown IPA), as it's a hop-forward brew prominently featuring Citra. Just enough honey-cracker sweetness from the malt balances out the tropical notes from the hops.

If you think of certain popular Citra single-hop brews (e.g. Pseudo Sue, Zombie Dust), this is far less green and herbal. The balance with the malt is quite nice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber color topped with a fluffy white cap that leaves splashy shards of lacing

Smell: Graham cracker malt tones support the fruity aromatics, bringing both citrus and berry elements

Taste: The graham cracker flavors buttress the hops from start to finish; the berry flavors arrive first, with strawberry and blueberry counterbalancing; through the middle, there is lime and tangerine and a bright citrusy element; the bitterness is held in check so the finish is a balance between the fruit and the malt

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: I like everything about this beer and if I ever had to commit to a single APA/IPA for all my future consumption, this would be a contender

A - Poured standard 12 oz can into standard pint glass. Pours golden sunset, opaque cloudy, with quickly dissipating 1 finger head. Very nice lacing.

S - Huge nose on this one. Tangerine and Lime notes are accompanied by a grapefruit scent.

T - Unbelievable. Delicious and totally unique. I've heard murmurings and now I know what all the fuss is about with this one. Huge flavor. The citrus is (obviously) a big player here though it's hard to nail down the dominant fruit. The front end seems to bounce back and forth from tangerine, to lime, to grapefruit. Sweetness is dialed back but not overly bitter. Either way, the taste is totally one-of-a-kind.

M - Finishes very clean for everything that's going on in this one and, let me tell you, that's saying something. Very clean, very crisp but not too dry. This is still a refreshing beer. No synthetic taste at all, totally pure. This is a real beer as confirmed by every metric that I employ.

D - Absolutely drinkable and absolutely unforgettable. Even though I'm a Bay Area Resident, I went into this one totally impartial. Florida's brewing scene is hit and miss; I've been disappointed before. Add to that all the talk about this brew and I was more than a little suspicious. Regardless, this one is the genuine article. That's not hot air. I'm not sure about availability outside of Tampa Bay but if you can find it, don't hesitate. Pull it off the shelf and stuff it in the cart. Amazing.

Pours a semi clear orange, with fine, soapy head.

Smell is intensely citrusy with hints of pine and a bit of resin.

Taste is very balanced, with a nice bitterness playing well with lots of citrus and some pine.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice pale ale, with loads of citrus.

12 oz can, canned on 8/21/17. Pours very hazy golden orange with a medium pillowy white head that retains fairly well and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready malt with citrus hops.

The flavor is sweet malts with citrus fruit and a bitter grassy hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice fruity hoppy pale.

Yellow golden color, not too cloudy and not overly hoppy. Great Pale Ale! It is relatively smooth, with a good subtle flavor. This one definitely made me a fan of cigar city
