Notes:
Traditional throughout Latin America, the guayabera shirt combines style, functionality, form and tradition in it’s four-pocketed design. We at Cigar City feel the same reverence and appreciation for the guayabera that we do for the Citra hop varietal, an ingredient that imparts notes of tangerine, lime and berries to this traditional American Pale Ale. The exclusive use of Citra hops in this beer creates a flavor that’s at once unique and recognizable, while it’s dry, crisp character and moderate alcohol make it as refreshing and functional as a crisp linen guayabera.

Fresh cold 12 ounce can poured into a nonic glass.
Lightly hazed golden-orange brew with a full finger of white foam.
Aroma of orange, lime, grapefruit and mild pine.
Taste is Florida citrus with a hint of berries, good malt balance, slight bitterness. Crisp dry finish. No alcohol zip.
Mouth is lightly medium body and medium to high carbonation.
Overall, CCB takes a single Citra hop and develops a Floridized version of a familiar west coast staple with great success. Great all day beach beer.,,

This is a nice light bodied easy drinking ale. The fact that it is hopped with Citra is a bonus! My go-to pale ale since Cigar City discontinued Invasion Pale Ale. If your benchmark for Citra pale ale is Zombie Dust, you need to give this beer a try.

Surprise from my MIL, now I know why. Canned 8.9.21
Poured into a nonic at fridge temp
Pours golden orange with a fair 2 finger eggshell head. 4
Hops and almost sickly sweet tropical aroma. 3.5
Taste isn't bad for it's age, but not great as well. Hops, bitterness without any of the citrus, lime or berries as advertised on the can. 3.5
Body is lighter, resinous and pretty light carbo. 3.5
Overall I need to try this fresher to give it an accurate rating and review 3.5

Great aroma upon opening of citric and floral hops. A smooth crisp finish and the beer has a great balance of hops and a caramel malt. I usually don't drink this type of beer, but I think it's probably going to change, especially during the warm, hot weather. Good one to relax with after work or play in the summer.

Look is slightly hazy gold & has nice Citra smell to it. Starts off with an astringent zing followed by berries and a lime finish. Nice Citra hop aftertaste that lingers. This is tasty pale ale that goes down easy at 5.5%.

From a 12oz can, dated 12/30/21. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a lightly hazed caramel-gold with two fingers of pouffy, cream-colored foam. Retention is excellent, leaving sticky wads of lacing.
Nose is malty, yeasty, moderately robust. Aromas of bread crust and berries.
Taste is sharp and crackery. Tart and citrusy up front, tasting grapefruit peel and orange pith, with a flowery, blueberry-like character on the back end. Balance tips more toward hoppy but still relatively low bitterness for all that it’s 50 IBUs.
Feel is crisp, medium bodied and brightly carbonated. Super-easy drinking.
Overall, a tasty little APA or ‘Citra Pale Ale.’ The can description promises ‘notes of tangerine, lime and berries’ and, while I don’t associate berry with Citra, that’s pretty much spot on. I wish I could have tried a fresher can but frankly it was pretty damn tasty two and a half months out.

Solid, but not quite Jai Alai. Decent lingering head, lots of bubbles moving through the cloudy gold. It looks like there are some suspended particles, which surprised me. Citrus on the nose and tongue. The finish balances hops and citrusy flavors.

Look: Poured from can to snifter. Hazy tangerine color with a thick, white, frothy head. Good retention of lacing as well.
Smell: Citrus fruits, grapes, grapefruit, lime
Taste: Very floral front with hints of lime and grapefruit. Sharp citra hops and a malty finish. Superb.
Feel: Light and refreshing, dry bit crisp finish.
Overall: Great offering, pick this up if you have a chance. Excellent for the style that few others can stand up to.

Excellent citrus IPA with the perfect amount of bitterness. I didn't appreciate the hint of pepper though. Hopefully they will continue with this line of IPA.

Lightly hazed amber-gold appearance with a large white head that left good lacing. Citrus dominates the aroma with little impact from the malts. All that citrus carries over on the taste buds while the grapefruit starts to stand out. Pungent, bitter aftertaste. Malts still keeping a low profile but they are helping to provide a cleaner crisper finish. Nicely carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, adds some oomph to the sometimes stagnant pale ale style.

12oz can pkg date 11/29/21 into a pint glass.
L: Pours mostly hazy dull grayish straw gold with a thin soapy white head, low carbonation, some sediment and essentially no lacing.
S: Pineapple, orange rind, lime, mango, caramel malts.
T: Lemon zest, lime, grapefruit, a suggestion of berries, light lemon grass, a hint of bread. Overall zesty and is bitter at the finish.
F: Crisp, semi-juicy med-bodied mouthfeel with a fast drying finish and a light clean linger.
O: A very refreshing and easy drinking fairly drying Citra hop Pale Ale that has sunny citrus zest flavors from start to finish. Quaffable, it is excellent in it's style.

Had this on 2021-07-22 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 12oz canned on 2021-04-11
A - Partially-hazy golden orange with a 1-finger white head and moderate lace.
S - Lime, tangerine, hop vegetal
T - Lime, berry, bread crust, tangerine zest. Finishes very dry and with higher than usual Pale Ale bitterness. Still, very tasty.
M - Medium body and medium-high carbonation. Initially smooth, then crisp.
O - A newish take on a Pale Ale, which I enjoyed. Won't take the place of SNPA as a staple in my fridge though.
