Notes / Commercial Description:
This Tampa-style Lager is inspired by the traditional German-style Helles, which translates to “light colored.” Perfect for the Florida heat, it’s a beer that’s made for drinkin’ when it’s truly hotter than helles outside.

Pale straw color with a very large, foamy head. I'd say about 3 fingers to start, and gradually recedes to a thick finger. Could easily leave a mustache if you wanted it to.

Aroma of crisp hay, sale barn, slight men's room - urine and chemical; dusty grain, and some slight grassy hop.

Taste starts out like a typical Helles - boring hay and grass notes, but then it really shines... hints of orange peel and fresh baked bread fill the mouth. It has a great finish to it. Faint lemon on the finish.

Feel is burptastic. Lots of carbonation, with a slightly chalky residue, and a slight resinous finish.

Overall, it's breweries like Cigar City that show up and give an otherwise boring style life. I'm not a fan of Helles lagers, but I knew this wouldn't disappoint. A solid beer.

12oz can poured into a pint

Pours a pale straw color with a small foamy white head that has decent retention. Smells of grains, sweet malt, breadth and floral. Tastes of toasted grains, light floral hops, sweet ready malt. Light body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and crisp finish. Easy drinking and goes down fast

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Willi Becher glass. Canned on 14 July 2017.
3/2/2.25/2.5/2.5
A: Very light in color and transparent, with a faintest milky haze. Two fingers of head churns and quickly settles.
S: Smells grainy and gross. Some sulfur and skunk.
T: Tastes better, but still grainy-sweet and cheap tasting. You might as well be drinking High Life, etc.
M: Watery, with a sulfuric aftertaste.
O: I guess I don't get it. If you like cheap American lagers (and there is a time and a place) you will like this. Nothing to go out of your way for.

Non-descript but inoffensive - a touch thin and watery, veers a little close to adjunct territory but the malt profile is bright and there are some light floral notes which makes it drinkable

this is an excellent lager, light and crushable but full of character, i like how sort of authentically german it feels, with a nice earthy crackery european malt profile and this crisp but flavorful lager yeast, more layers of flavor here than almost anything out there thats this light, really good four season ripper, literally a three or four sip can of beer when its ice cold. the texture is awesome here, its sort of fluffy and even creamy, richer and frothy and all, but its still so dry and light. a lot of beers this low alcohol are watery or thin, and this is so grainy and round, i love that aspect. the flavor of the malt is fresh and golden bright, with a little bit of a cereal thing going on, light biscuit, yellow cakey. hardly and hops at all, but the yeast finishes the beer really nicely, with that bready old school sort of drying mature snappiness, very pleasant, not boring in the least, and a beer that others should model their light lagers after. an instant classic for me, glad this is around for sale in colorado now!

L: Pours a clear straw yellow color, with a small white head that dissipates rather quickly and no lacing on the glass.

S: Toasted bread and some sweet malt, with a nice floral hop and a little bit of herbs in the nose.

T: Toasted bread and sweet malt, balanced out by a light floral hop and a very light hop bitterness, slightly watery in the finish.

F: Clean, smooth and easy drinking

O: This is a very nice warm weather lager.

Pale amber; white light head. Pleasant taste, not remarkable; weak finish.
Good for the beach cooler because my grocery story carries it and it comes in a can.
