Style: American Lager

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.50%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
This Tampa-style Lager is inspired by the traditional German-style Helles, which translates to “light colored.” Perfect for the Florida heat, it’s a beer that’s made for drinkin’ when it’s truly hotter than helles outside.

5/26 stamped 12 oz. can

Very clear yellow gold. Pretty fizzy head. Very macro looking.

Smells like a macro too. A stale, metallic corn sweetness. Mainly grainy, yeasty water. Kind of skunky. More like a European macro.

Tastes a little better, but pretty much like it smells. Grainy, with some noticeable floral hops. A lot of sweet cereal like corn flavor. Kind of drying.

Not sure about the Helles stuff that was mentioned. Definitley and American Pale. Given the option again, I would pass on this and get High Life for less money

12oz can. 5/25/16 can date. Appearance: Pale yellow, clear, with a low lying white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma: Grainy, cracker like malt, a touch of herbal hops, and a bit of sulphur. Taste: Light cracker maltiness with a light, grainy harshness, with a light but balancing floral hop bitterness. Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a crisp, sharp carbonation Finish: Finishes malt forward with some light cracker. Overall: A well balanced, crisp, easy drinking lager. Balance is definitely malt forward, suggesting a Helles style. I do pick up a light sulphur note, and the grainy malt can be a little on the harsh side.

Pale all malt lager with light hopping, low alcohol and clean malt malt finish. Has a slight bubblegum Belgian note that not detracting in my opinion. Another crisp, thirst quenching lager.

Pours a nice clear golden amber color with a medium white head that stays for a little bit. Has a strong grain barley smell to it. Taste is exactly like how it smells.

Poured from the can into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Pooler, GA. Slightly murky golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Nice crisp flavor.

Pours a pale gold, yellowish green with an off white head that does not linger.

Smells of grass, grain, and lemon with a slight floral bouquet and bitter herb bite.

Taste is light grain malt up front with a slight cereal sweetness. It finishes dry with a lemon/bitter herb bite.

Perhaps the best "American Pale Lager" I have tried. Poured a l clear and light-golden hue with not much of a head. There is a bit of a grassy hint to the aroma but overall very subdued - this is a straight forward, ordinary lager after all.

This is a very flavorful and sharp lager with a very nice complement of bitter hops to complement to dominant malt. The combination keeps this one interesting sip after sip; whereas most lagers of this type become dull and one dimensional after only one or two.

Of course, the body is rather thin but the zesty carbonation keeps it refreshing and well-rounded.

This is a good quality lager from an excellent Florida brewery. This is indeed a fine choice for the Florida summer, and it is "made for drinkin' as the label suggests. I also like the retro style label as well. Save for the nice malt accent, this one almost drinks like a pilsner.

Pours a pale straw color with average carbonation. A thin, white bubbly head.
Smells like a European lager with the yeast and hop smell.
The yeast taste really stands out on this refreshing and tasty lager. One of the better lagers I have had in quite some time.
