Pours dark, minimal head and lacing. Strong maple presence on the nose, practically overpowers everything else. Taste is better, as maple is at the forefront, but there’s a definite hot pepper undercurrent. Coffee is a bit muted. A slight bit of a syrupy feel, subtle booze presence. Very good, but I should have had sooner because I think the coffee faded.

Appearance - The beer poured a dark black color with a mocha colored head crowning the pour.
Smell - The nose had spice and a bit of sweetness.
Taste - French toast describes this beer well, if the toast was dry. I detected the maple and cinnamon. It was not overly sweet with maple. The cinnamon had a dry effect on the overall profile and finish.
Mouthfeel - The body was thick little carbonation.
Overall - Maybe this one sat too long. It was not overly impressive.

Many hugs to Sabtos for this 750ML bottle, which has been resting quietly in my fridge since arrival. It’s my wife’s birthday – this was her choice I have a great wife.
Just like most Huna, this is black & without a lot of life to the eye. The nose is classic Huna on mute, with an added bout of sweetness. The maple syrup, I dare guess.
Xquic’s Maple Imperial Stout is good. The chile is gentler than in the base beer, cut by a hefty load of maple syrup. Then straight Huna, with chocolate, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, & maple again on the finish. Coffee? Nope. Must have been lost in translation. Oh well. Thick, drippy, delicious, this one begs to be drunk in one 25.6 oz. serving.
I must confess, I thought the chiles would murder the syrup to the point of imperceptibility, but no, those eleventh level magic users at Cigar City are at it again. Another fantastic Huna variant.

Very dark appearance with tan head. Aroma is a very nice vanilla and caramel. Taste is also a very nice vanilla and caramel that is a great blend and very smooth.

Matte black with a finger of soupy, dark mocha head. Settles into a nice crown, with minimal lacing.
Cinnamon, chocolate, green pepper and light coffee show in the nose.
The taste has a very nice, moderate pepper heat throughout, complemented by restrained cinnamon, a kiss of maple and vanilla and light coffee-like bitterness in the finish. It’s very artfully balanced.
Medium bodied and slick feeling.
Excellent beer. Love the pepper in this one, as well as that light touch of maple sweetness. Enjoyed it much more than regular Huna.
