look: 4.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75
Reviewed from (very) long-standing notes. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.
A: Hazy gold with orange highlights. A finger's worth of white head with decent retention, especially for style. A good amount of visible carbonation.
S: Melon, tangerine, and spicy hops. Less dank and resinous hops, with background notes of tropical and lychee fruits. Light cracker malt body. This is heavier on the melon and spice character than I’d personally prefer.
T: Melon, dank, and spice hops. Pineapple that I didn’t get on the nose along with the other tropical fruits. Tangerine and associated rind. Light cracker malts – just a bit sweeter than your average West Coast IPA, but clean and no caramel. There's a fading melon and citrus bitterness in the hang.
M: An average body for an IPA, with a crisp mouthfeel with the good amount of carbonation sensation. Low alcohol presence.
O: This isn't my personal preference on the hop profile, but this is well conceived and well executed. It's heavier on the melon and spice hops than I would like, but enough citrus and tropical fruits to make it quite drinkable for me.

Picked this bottle up locally for $12, bought it because I've never seen/ heard of it before. This brew reminds me of a Brett/funky farmhouse ale more than an IPA. Hops are Subtle other than the nose and slightly on the back end and a good amount of carbonation to wash it down. I don't hate it but I don't love it. I wouldn't buy again but I would drink it if offered.

All of the hops are in the nose. Dry hopped great. No bitterness is the taste. Practically non-existent. Super light mouthfeel. Interesting but wouldn't but again at $11/22 oz
