Wow. Best IPA I've had in a while, well crafted, and a great take on the style. Glad to finally get to try it on a trip to the Keys. Spent two weeks getting to know this gem. Pours a dark honey with a half inch creamy head, and great lacing. A big nose of tropical fruit and hops. Taste is plenty of fruit, mango, pineapple, and tangerine, with a great hop presence and a nice bitter finish. A touch of caramel malt balance it out nicely. Not boozy, but full bodied. A truly great IPA that I will look forward to on my next trip to Florida. Room for some in my suitcase home for sure.

First Cigar City beer...in Puerto Rico, no less! The can was old because craft beer isn't nearly as popular here, but it was good nonetheless. Found at a store in Aguadilla, near the airport.

12-oz can into Belgian ale glass

A - 3 fingers khaki head over a body of amber; moderate amount of visible carbonation; nice lace

S - citrus, spice, quite fruity, malt sweetness

T - bready malt, caramel sweetness, pine, citrus (notes of orange and grapefruit), apricot/tropical fruits, spice

M - sturdy medium/full body with medium carbonation, delightfully smooth and creamy

O - Jai Alai is a solid IPA. On the sweet and fruity side for an IPA, but the hops still pack a decent punch. A very good beer.

12 oz can a few weeks old

A - golden copper with a receding head and good lacing
S - citrus and pine, note orange than grapefruit
T - milder bitterness than I expected. Very very smooth and drinkable. Orange is there on the palate as well
M - solid malt backbone. Just right.

Having this side by side with a zombie dust. Overall I think I prefer the jai alai because it is just so balanced and smooth. Zombie is all about the pow hops hit. Jai alai is classier and smooth
