Look: copper color, slightly hazy
Smell: resin, tropical, citrus
Taste: starts sweet and tropical ends bitter with citrus
Feel: resin, full bodied,creamy
Overall: nice beer, enjoyed it. Florida's equivalent to NEBCO Sea Hag. Different flavors, but well made IPAs that are reasonably priced and easy to find.

Had this while on travel to FL. I saw a 6-pack in the local liquor store and - based on the hype - new I had to try. In my haste to purchase, didn't realize that the 'born on date' was > 6 months. Despite that...

I found that it had many characteristics of a SOCAL-style IPA; albeit, a bit thicker and maltier. It also had a sweeter taste that was very appealing. Perhaps it was the name but it almost tasted like a 'cigar'.

A good beer that I hope to try again... and a little fresher.

From a can which was 2 months old so have to do this review with a grain of salt, so to speak. Beautiful copper color with huge head. I really looked forward to the tropical fruit aroma and of course citrusy smell / taste go a long way with me in an IPA anyway. maybe it was because this can was 2 months old but it was very hard for me to pick up any significant citrus and tropical fruit notes from start to end. Just sort of there is all. have to have when super fresh to do a proper comparison but I would say just pay attention to the canning / bottling dates when pursuing just like any other IPA.

Update: Got some cans dated 2/27 only a few weeks old and my score has changed drastically. Freshness obviously matters a lot but especially with this beer, it seems.

Acquired via trade. Poured into 10oz glass. Funny, cans are usually 12oz., yet it poured perfectly into a 10oz. glass.

Appearance: Deep amber, copper color. Little head and carbonation.

Smell: Sweet scent of the malt used, pine, grass, like a typical IPA.

Taste: Hoppy at the front of the tongue, but surprisingly smooth and easy to drink unlike some aggressive IPAs.
