Notes:
Sweet, roasty and always invigorating, traditional Latin American cafe con leche coffee can be found nearly everywhere in our hometown of Tampa, Florida and serves as the inspiration for our Cafe Con Leche Sweet Stout. The beer is made with bold, strong coffee beans to emulate the most characterful Cuban espresso and lactose, a milk sugar that adds sweetness, body and flavors reminiscent of scalded milk. We’ve also added cacao nibs to further enhance the satisfying chocolate quality of the beer. Despite it’s assertive flavors and full body, our sweet stout is deceptively low in alcohol, making it the perfect accompaniment to a late-morning plate of eggs, bacon and tostadas.

Nitro
A: silky black/dark brown color with a solid tan nitro head
S: huge hit of coffee beans and milk. Milk chocolate and roasted malt behind that. More coffee to finish
T: follows the nose very close. Roasted coffee beans, milk chocolate and roasted malt upfront. A touch of sweet lactose on the middle of the tongue. Finish is dry and coffee
M: medium, silky nitro mouthfeel
O: awesome beer. Sweet and roasty with nice coffee flavors. Nice balance and easy to drink

A: The beer is black when viewed from afar and when held up to a bright light the edges are dark red. It poured with a short tan head that died down, leaving delicate wisps of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of espresso beans and cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of cold brew coffee along with notes of lactose.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very nice coffee beer, but I thought it would have more of sweetness and creaminess. It is a nice breakfast beer.

Review from notes, I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy this one. I love CCB, and this was one of the best they ever put out. Growler poured into a couple pint glasses.
The pour was spot on, dark brown, nearly black in color with a big head of tan that towered over the top of the glass, reaching back it coats the entire inside of the glass thoroughly and completely. Aroma reaks of sweet coffee, vanilla, almost caramel like notes. Warming brings forward vanilla now as well. Really just wonderfully done here. I take the first sip and I am blown away. Rich decadent vanilla notes as well as huge sweet coffee presence. Rich and very filling it coats the palate completely and really just is at a near perfect balance. Long finish is sweet, full of sugar and just a wonderful session stout.
Overall one of the best milk stouts ever made and it really goes to show how you can take a style that has been done to death and put a reat new spin on it. Cheers to them, this was outstanding.

On-tap at Hoptinger in downtown (Riverside) Jacksonville. Cool spot. As expected, a massive, frothy head. A delicious sweet milk stout! Has all the qualities you want, with lots of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Perfectly smooth and silky body/finish. Really happy I tried this, bc the weather certainly didn’t dictate drinking a stout. Replaced the early afternoon weekend coffee well.

Thanks again to tpd975 for hooking me up with this special treat, you rock brotha!
12 oz. hand bottle poured into a standard pint glass.
Pours an onyx black with a full two finger brown colored head that dies down to a thin layer of foam. Some spotty chunks of lacing stick to the sides of the glass as well. Smell is freshly roasted coffee beans, strong espresso, and a dash of lactose. Some chocolate and caramel malts in the nose as well. But really, the aroma is ALL about the coffee and boy is it. Taste starts off with bold and bitter roasted coffee, smokey grains, and dark chocolate. The big coffee flavor calms down slightly midway and towards the end with some brown sugars and lactose flavors. But once again, the flavors are really all about the insane espresso/coffee. Medium body with a slightly dry feel in the mouth and a soft carbonation. This is just an all out coffee beer from start to finish. So far I've had two beers from these guys and they're flat out awesome, looking forward to the last that Greg sent me; Say Sun, son! Thanks again man!!

On tap at BX Beer Depot's CCB Tap Takeover
One of my favorite beers of all time. Lactose, freshly ground coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and solid roasty notes to it. Surprisingly balanced between sweet and bitter. Very robust and complex, makes for a great digestif
