Not necessarily the best pumpkin beer of all time but it was on nitro at the brew pub and it creates the sensation of whipped cream topping and makes the beer smooth like pumpkin pie filling.

Bomber poured into a snifter. Whether this is good or not, I'm hoping to never drink another pumpkin beer.

Good looking beer. Deep copper color with a cream-colored head. Sudsy and creamy head. Persists well. 4.5

It's not overly spiced, so that's awesome. Has a hint of some tartness and fruit. Caramel malt sweetness. Not a ton on the nose. 3.75

Interesting first sip. Seems like a Belgian Dubbel with the candi syrup flavor. Reminds me of a lollipop for the candied sweetness. Pumpkin appears subtly and imparts a vegetal, squash quality and some light spice creeps in that again, is understated. 3.75

Candy-like sweetness and feel, akin to sucking on a lollipop. This is a dessert drink if anything. Smooth but with a tickle of carbonation and spice that accentuate the sweetness at times and other times downplay it. 3.75

I appreciate that this isn't a spice bomb, but it seems a sweet, syrupy bomb in place of that.

Had this few times past few years and it's been great but this years batch seems different 2016. Still good but lacking that pumpin spice feel of years past. Adjusted my rating down.

650ml bottle poured into mini cognac tulip 12/9/15

A glows amber, even a small pour has a little head that hangs around for a few sips, looks thick like the the little bubbles are struggling to get to the surface

S big on vanilla, some allspice and nutmeg, yams and faint pumpkin, hard toffee a plenty, and a hint of ginger and cinnamon with a little booze

T mimics the nose but a little more booze and the individual spices are harder to pick out

M medium bodied, creams up, fine grit, a little heat, heaps of spice lingering

O solid pumpkin beer, well spiced, not exactly unique but well made

I told myself I was only having one pumpkin beer this year and this one just popped up at my place, cheers Corson!!

I love pumpkin beer, they are what really got me into craft beer. I've been anxiously waiting to try this beer, #1 pumpkin beer in the world... It's way too sweet!!! Never tasted a beer so sweet, hurt my teeth. The aroma and taste are great but if they knocked the sweetness down a touch it would be perfect.

L - Dark orange/copper bordering on amber. Two fingers of off-white/eggshell head.

S -- Spices for days. Nutmeg, cinnamon, clove. Pumpkin of course, but it doesn't dominate.

T - Much larger pumpkin presence on the taste. All the spices are here, but it is spicy like a top-shelf rum. Excellent vanilla or cream flavor with a big cinnamon finish.

M - Big and full mouthfeel. Makes full use of the 8.5%. Slight alcohol taste. Lots of carbonation moves everything along.

O - Fantastic pumpkin beer, one of the best (prolly the best) I've ever had. Complex and drinkable.

Move over Pumpking, this is the new best pumpkin beer. The spices, the mouthfeel all spot on. I even get hints of vanilla in the back of this one. The one beer I look forward to every fall.

One of my favorite pumpkin style beers. I truly enjoy this Cigar City rendition of the harvest season style. Bursting with real pumpkin flavor and pumpkin spices including Ceylon cinnamon, Jamaican all-spice, Zanzibar cloves and nutmeg not overpowering with cinnamon like most of the October styles just enough to let you know it is in there,

One of the best pumpkin beers I have had. I did a taste test over thanksgiving with around 25 different pumpkin beers and this was one of the ones on the top.

Pours an amber hue with a translucent clarity. Nose expresses nutmeg, clove, peppery notes and a hint of ethanol. Taste consistent with nose - what I like about this beer is that the spice profile is not in your face. Mouthfeel is light-medium with an even carbonation and a slight acidity. Overall, a solid pumpkin beer. Generally not a style in my wheelhouse; however, I enjoyed this one. Definitely in my top three for the style thus far.

Has a dark amber color with almost a sweet bourbon smell. Mellow but present pumpkin flavor but most of the taste comes from a myriad of spices. Even gives off the flavor of being bourbon barrel aged and is rather alcoholic. This beer could use some aging to allow some more flavors to open up. (Like most pumpkin beers in my opinion).

Bottled on 08/29/14.

Tons of natural pumpkin flavor initially with the spices becoming more dominant as the beer warms. One of the better pumpkin beers that I've had.

Pours a nice dark amber, orangish-red color with off-white head. Pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and caramel and malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes like a nice piece of pumpkin pie.

Bright copper color with a thin head with short retention and leaving a ring.
Nice aroma of pumpkin sweet, cloves, cinnamon, caramel and nutmeg.
Flavor with notes of cloves, pumpkin sweet, lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, some nuts and vanilla. Dry aftertaste with a lasting sweet spices note.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 8.5% is well disguised.
Likely the best pumpkin I had. It has a superior balance and it is more elegant than other counterparties with good spices complexity.

Poured a brown body with a more sweet pumpkin aroma with cinnamon although some spices do come out.
Beer is full bodied, smooth, a little bready like pie crust, mostly sweet pumpkin and cinnamon in the taste profile although there is balance from some peppery spices and nutmeg on backend that lead to crisp finish.
Overall, a well-balanced pumpkin ale that highlights both sweet and spicy aspects of style.

Copper with ruby tones and an off white head that fades to a small ring and doesn't leave much lacing, if any. A bit flat looking, but I experience this with the style. Caramel, graham crusty malt, gord meat, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and do I detect a hint of cream?! Starts off with a nice vegetal gord meat flavor that is wrapped in caramel and graham flavors. The spice weaves in early bringing a perfect level of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg spiciness. Lower carbonation and the body feels slightly thin. Overall it's a great pumpkin ale. It's top two for me next to Pumking.

22oz bomber. Pours deep amber orange. 1 finger of head. Dissipates quickly. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, sugar..Tastes like a good pumpkin pie. Less sweet than alewerks but still very good and smooth. Easy to drink. Same flavors in the mouth and on the way down. Very solid pumpkin beer. Perfect for football season and thanksgiving.

Appearance - The beer was a golden yellow color with a bubbly white head.

Smell - Unlike many pumpkin ales, the cinnamon does not viciously attack the sense of smell. Cinnamon and nutmeg are present, but the aroma is more noted for a generalized sweetness.

Taste - This is such a well balanced pumpkin ale. The cinnamon and nutmeg are balanced with an earthy pumpkin. Notes of smooth vanilla are also present. In the aftertaste, the cinnamon comes more to the front and lingers.

Mouthfeel - The vanilla gives the impression of a smooth mouthfeel. Carbonation is modest.

Overall - I might have a new favorite pumpkin ale.

The nose is like pumpkin bread with a malty pumpkin tone. The spices of nutmeg and clove are obvious in the aroma.

The flavor tends strongly to the creamy pumpkin sweetness, almost like the whipped cream on top of the pie was included. There is little to no spiciness, that I can tell and nothing in the way of malty pie crust, but mostly the pumpkin pie filling.

Poured into my Surly goblet....
A - Pours a hazy amber brown with a small foamy head that reduces quickly to a thin cover and ring. Looks great.
S - Not overpowering but a pleasant aroma of pumpkin and spices.
T - Medium strong pumpkin flavor with a hint of spices.
M - Medium creamy mouth feel, flavor hangs around for a good long time.
O - The key to any great beer is balance and this beer has it. The pumpkin and the splices are well matched to the beer, nothing is overpowering. Delicious, the best pumpkin beer I've tasted in 2014.

Nitro tap, Snifter glass

A – Dark brown, mostly opaque but some ruby highlights where light passes through. Nice clarity. Firm, thick foam head, tan-white, an inch or so tall and it goes nowhere. Impressive nitro pour.

S – Just a slight hint of fall/pie spice. More of a sweet character from the use of actual pumpkin. Minor bitter hops on the nose.

T – Very strong harvest / fall / pumpkin flavor, melded well with a sweet malt backbone and perhaps some spicy yeast notes.

M – Creamy, foamy texture, very smooth from the effect of the nitro dispense. Mild sweetness, a touch of bitterness, all in harmony.

O – Of all the harvest/pumpkin beers, this is one of the best (if not THE best) I’ve had. The creaminess from the nitro puts it over the top.

Brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, some nuttiness. The aroma is lovely, however the flavor wasn't as well integrated as I had hoped. A little too overwhelmingly spicy, but still enjoyable.

Google it, everyone will say the same and so do I.

Buy two, if possible, drink one now and the drink one in a year or so when the hops have retired more-so. A whole different beer.

No bitterness or whim-like ingredients to see what happens. This was tested and approved unanimously over, and over and over and over again.

One of the better Pumpkin beers being made today. I've had this on Nitro at the brewery and also from the bottle. Nitro gives it a bit better mouth-feel but overall, they both pack a lot of spices and pumpkin flavor without taking away from the beer. One of the only pumpkin brews that I see out annually.

Pours a nice copper color. Aroma is mostly spice; nutmeg & allspice. Aroma is slightly boozy. Nice mouthfeel, good body. Taste is a nice balance of spice, pumpkin, and malt. A little sweet at first but smooths out as the beer warms up.

Overall this is an excellent pumpkin ale. It is not a sickly sweet pumpkin pie ale. The spices, although prominent are not over powering. I highly recommend.
