Chilies have faded and I get no heat. I also get no heat from the alcohol.

Had a significant dark fruit characteristic which faded as it warmed. It tastes like french toast sticks dipped in chocolate and coffee. The aftertaste is a pleasant roasty note.

Mounthfeel is incredibly huge rivaled only by room temp dark lord

This beer is incredible

Pours out like thick motor oil. Wonderful, black, with dark brown head. Smell is punching me in the face. Vanilla, chili-pepper skin, cinnamon, coffee and chocolate. Holy shit, the taste follows that exactly. So in your face. And the mouthfeel is out of this world. You could seriously chew in this beer. Hands down my favorite adjunct non-ba beer. Top 5 for sure.

2014. Thanks Chadwick for sharing. Pours pitch black with a thick mocha head that settles quickly into a foamy cap. Good lacing. Lots going on in the aroma - chocolate, coffee, vanilla, spiciness, roasted malt, and booze. Lots of roastiness on the tongue, dark chocolate, coffee and some decent chili heat make this a most complex stout. Full bodied with little carbonation. Overall, an extremely well crafted and incredibly complex stout.

2013 Vintage split with my neighbor on my 32nd bday. Been wanting to open this for awhile.

Poured into snifter a motor oil black with a dark mocha colored head that had some decent legs given a year and a hslf in the bottle.

Aroma was mostly chocolate and roasted coffee, some sweet crream

Taste was dominated by bitersweet / dark chocolate. Amazing. Some coffee and vanilla but was a bit let down to not get any cinnamon or chilies guess I need to try more fresh

Mouthfeel was very thick and visocus , lower carb. Perfect for the style

Overall I was impressed but just slightly let down by the lack of complexity I was expecting. Need to try this more fresh to properly evaluate
