2015 vintage obtained in trade in spring 2017. Cannot vouch for storage first two years. Opened 11/1/17 and poured into Kane chalice.

I have a second bottle - 2016. These scores are placeholders until I drink that one, next year.

Very little light tan head and what there was was gone in an instant. No lacing or anything. Beer is very very dark brown. Definitely notes of cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla, and chilis, also present in taste. Definitely not rounded and mature as it should be over 2.5 years, as well as feeling washed out. Guessing this may not have been stored in dark. Medium body, almost no carbonation. Construction is fine, balance eh. ABV fairly well hidden or dovetails with chili heat, which is fairly subtle. Simply put, this does not taste like a beer one pays hundreds of dollars and travels thousands of miles to drink and does not match Kane Mexican Brunch or Prairie Artisan BOMB! But it could very well be storage. Will revisit.

The elixir from the Mayan gods. Tried both the '15 and '17 batches recently and both were divine.

Brown cocoa powder color head. Dark chocolate black with some purple hue.

Sweet dark chocolate. Cocoa mixed with light coconut. Peppers are strong presence and persistent mixing well with other notes. Smell is more pepper heavy.

Heavy but thin. Slight tingly burn and carbonation. Slight more burn in lasting finish.

Very good.
