Brown color! Imagine that! Nice foamy head.

Aroma of dry cocoa and dark grains, slight tobacco.

Slight cocoa sweetness amidst a slightly smokey, nutty base with a grainy depth.

Light to medium bodied with capable carbonation.

Overall a decent brown ale but nothing I'm hopped up about purchasing.

A little too hoppy / bitter on the finish but otherwise a solid brown ale. If that burnt coffee sharpness was dialed-in a little it would a lot better.

A: Pours a deep, reddish brown, with a 1 and a half finger beige to cream head.
S: Strong notes of coffee, a heavy roastiness, with a slight astringency.
T: Very nutty right away, with subtle hints of cherry and chocolate. Deep and rich, but not overpowering.
M: crisp, but full bodied
O: I don't really like brown ales, that being said, I actually really enjoy this one, it is well balanced and pleasant, albeit quite flavorful, would love to see some tobacco notes expressed here though.

CIgar beer for sure. With cigar a 4.
a) Dark brown body, low carbonation, 1 finger puckered head, a bit of lace.
s) Roasted chestnuts, tobacco and chocolate. But too faint,
t) Lots more roast, dark toast, hazelnut spread, with malt and the sweet cleans up by the finish.
f) I always expect dark to offer more body.
o) Would be nice to taste blind vs other browns. Try 6.

The char of heavily toasted breads lead right into the flavors. Columbian roast coffee flavors stop just shy of dark roast and allow a nuttier taste of strong pecan and bittersweet chocolate to temper the dry almost-roast flavor. Its toffee flavors are also scorches as are the dry grain flavors that attempt to give richness to the taste. The light berry fruit notes are more subtle than the aromas suggest and hide deep behind the coffee bean taste.

The beer's remarkable dryness is evident early on as the strong carbonation carries the malts off into a finish even before the taste is completely understood. Its carbonated sprite exacerbates the texture of dryness and gives even more life to the toasty mouthfeel. Never ashy or astringent, the beer closes with medium warmth, soft powder, and fast fleeting malt richness.

Maduro Brown Ale is a surprisingly dry and effervescent dark ale that's focused in its toasty taste, aroma, and texture. Delicious and effortless on the palate- ideal for nutty gouda slices or softer churchill cigars.

Has a nice malt and roasted malt aroma with brown sugar and vanilla. Taste is very similar, great malt forward beer that doesn't turn into a total malt bomb. The flavor gets more complex as it warms

12 oz can dated 02/13/18
Poured into a tall snifter shows a thick cola brown body and briefly supports a fizzy milk chocolate colored 1/4in head.

Aroma is roast coffee bean forward with hints of chocolate and dark fruit.
The flavors match, with a slight metallic flavor at the end.

Mouthfeel is a lovely creamy, almost full, medium and well carbonated for the style.

Overall a very good example of the style.
