One of the best brown ales I have ever had. Maduro packs a plethora of flavor in at a drinkable 5.5% abv. Rich caramel and toffee sweetness with hints of expresso and milk chocolate finished with notes of roasted malt. This was an absolute joy. Beautiful in the glass and it's aroma blew me away. Texture and thickness are simply world class.

Clear brown colored ale with a medium sized tan colored head.

Smells strongly of patent malt and coffee. Chocolate and caramel are in this one too. Has that chocolate coffee thing going on.

Starts out mildly sweet with lots of Chocolate flavor. Coffee is a little more subtle than the scent. Not much bitterness at all.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall it is just plain easy to dring. Tastes more than a little like a Milk Stout.

A tasty brown ale with hints of coffee, brown sugar, maple syrup and chocolate. I like to let it warm up a bit and let the darker notes spring forward more. As a light weight, this one's dangerously drinkable at 5 and a half.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. 'CANNED ON 6/12/18'.
Deep brown colored body, with brown highlights. Tan colored thick head. Spots and strings of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and toffee. Dark chocolate is in the background and discerned with a deeper sniff.
Taste of roasted malt, with flavors of toffee, dark fruit, and slightly bitter coffee. Allowing the beer to warm brings out the chocolate.
Has a creamy, full mouth feel (is this from the oats?). Good carbonation.
Easy drinking brown, with an expected but complex set of flavors.

Maduro pours an elegant dark brown with ruby highlights. Tan frothy head that falls luxuriously. Nose is sumptuous with roasty malt. Nothing too burnt and a delicious stripe of caramel. The light presence of just sweet cocoa and a sweet breath from hop herbal. The beer is very fresh as it was canned on 5/21 and those delicate hop scents really make the nose for me. It does not have too much dark fruit aromas from malt and I like it because that allows a nice moment of mild coffee to come through. The malt is just bitter raost but does not show any char . Perfectly done toast. Drinks just like the nose with a crisp bubble to keep it light. This beer has a lovely moment of silk in the moderately dry finish and a light hop bitter that stays on the tongue to show you all that malty fullness. it stoips just short of chewy. The fact that it is just sweet made it the perfect companion to the meal I planned for it. Chipoltle Chocolate Babyback Ribs and Spanish Rice. At 5.5 percent this one would be considered a Northern English Brown. The flavors are a bit like the stout but the body of the beer is light enough so that it tantalizes but remains in the brown ale category. The caramel does not take over the palate and as the beer warms it becomes more sensual witha bit of nutty flavor. So easy to drink I had four of them before I realized it and came back for more today.

12 oz. can dated 05/21/18 poured into a 16 oz. mug.
Dark rosewood brown, almost opaque. Reddish brown when held up to light.
Dark tan head fades to a ring with minimal lacing.
Coffee, oats and roasted malt smell with faint hops.
Bitter chocolate and smokey sweet malts are added to the taste, the hops are more present.
Richer than average mouth feel that is even thoughout the palate. Mild carbonation.
Lots of malt, complex yet well balanced. Porter like in looks, taste and feel.
Another home run for C.C.

This beer pours a nice brown color with a 3 finger tan head when poured from the can. The retention is ok.
The nose has notes of chocolate, and vanilla.
Taste - rich, malty. Notes of vanilla and chocolate, in that order. I also almost get some coffee.
Feel, is a bit light, but it also has a creamy texture.
Ok, this is one of my favorite beers, and I hope I've done an objective review of it. This is a very good beer, and I highly recommend it.

Brown color! Imagine that! Nice foamy head.

Aroma of dry cocoa and dark grains, slight tobacco.

Slight cocoa sweetness amidst a slightly smokey, nutty base with a grainy depth.

Light to medium bodied with capable carbonation.

Overall a decent brown ale but nothing I'm hopped up about purchasing.
