Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass at the Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a semi-dark brown with a large tannish head. The aroma is malt and oat goodness. The taste is very mellow and smooth malt with some other grains added. An excellent brown ale

On tap at Growler Grlz. Quite nice.everything about it excellent except its aroma doesn't stand up to its other qualities.

A: Pours a very lightly hazy, almost opaque deep mahogany brown in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of deep crimson red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy tan colored head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of roasted + nutty malts with a hint of toffee sweetness, light aromas of espresso, and light aromas of earthy hops.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of roasted + nutty malts with a light amount of chocolate malts and just a light amount of toffee sweetness. There is a light flavor of coffee/espresso and a hint of earthy hops. There is a light amount of roasty bitterness in the finish which lingers only slightly.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: Easy to drink, smooth, and enjoyable. Really nice complexity of flavor with a lighter mouthfeel and well hidden alcohol.

Notes between smoke and wood that reminds a cigar (maybe a suggestion from the name?) And some nuts. Nice fullfilling body and bitter finish

Canned and I am hoping canned conditioned
Pours a dark brown body with tan head that retreats to the edge of the glass
Aroma is good and I mean good cigar, talking Havana
Flavour is cheap chocolate milkshake
It's an okay flavour a great but a thin mouthfeel

Dark brown with a finger-and-a-half of tan head that leaves strong lacing.

Nutty malts, a hint of chocolate and strong carbonation in the nose. These continue to the taste, along with a touch of dairy mid-palate and a pretty dry finish. Mildly sweet overall.

Creamy mouthfeel with less carbonation than expected.

Sort of middle of the road to me. I don't smoke cigars, but I was expecting more tobacco or earthy flavors here.
