Pours a dark brown color with a modest creamy head that quickly dissipates.
As the name suggests, the aroma evokes an oatmeal raisin cookie, along with cinnamon like spices. The malt base smells nutty and biscuity.
Although the taste has flavors of an oatmeal raisin cookie, I like that the sweetness is subdued and give ways to other flavors. In particular, the spices add a great touch of balance, along with a very restrained hops bitterness. The finish evokes a strong taste of cinnamon.
Medium bodied and very smooth. The carbonation is very gentle.
A delightful brown ale, one of the best I’ve had.

12 oz can dated 4/1/18 poured into nonic pint glass.

Chocolatey brown color with a thick beige ring of head leaving lacing where it recedes.

Aromas of brown malts, oats, with faint hints of raisin, hot cookie, cocoa, and brown sugar.

Flavor is clean and carbonated, not many off flavors. Great! It's straight brown ale all the way home, but has slight suggestions of raisin, cinnamon, and cocoa.

Feel is crisp, has a certain slickness, and moderate to high carbonation. Very faint coffee dryness but compliments rather than takes over.

Overall, a very solid brown ale, I'm glad I bought a couple 4 packs. Good stuff.

Dark brown, quickly fading head with nice lacing.
Smells of oatmeal and malt, light spicy cinnamon.
Taste is typical for a brown ale plus oatmeal and cinnamon, not tasting raisin at all.
Medium texture, lighter at the finish.
Enjoyed this ale while on vacation in Naples, Fla.
It is not to hoppy which must be why it is classified as a English brown---I agree.
I am a brown ale fan and if this was available in "Rhody" it would be a weekly go-to.

Can to snifter.

Look: Dark Brown, decent beige head. fades to a thin sheet. Excellent retention.
AROMA: cinnamon and raisin are there but distorted a little by something like baking soda. yeast and bread dough are apparent.
TASTE: raisin, wine, cinnamon, malt. Brown sugar in the finish.
FEEL: Light carbonation. Smooth. a tad thin.

Very nice. Offput at the start by some random flavors, but making my way back into liking this.

Smells and taste just like the description. Strong notes of a sweet cinnamon mixed with raisins. Delicious, and would buy again

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass. Ghost cookies!

Pale tan to a khaki colored head, of a solid three fingers, and a good forming cascading action into the glass. Quite dark, almost looking more Oatmeal stout in character than brown, with a nearly black and opaque body. Quite a nice looking brew.

Aroma is just gang busters on the money. Smells exactly like an oatmeal raisin cookie. More touches of winter warmer like spices on the nose, but with a good cherry to raisin fruit quality. Touches a little chewy roast and touches of vanilla as well. Real impressive smelling brew.

Impression just keeps getting better. Definitely feeling on the palate more brown ale than oatmeal, but touches both with some impressive other character. Creamy but milky almost lactose sensing body and flavors. Spicy winter warmer like qualities and chewy malt mixing in with raisins and cinnamon. Finishes creamy vanilla with a cookie softness, and a light malt richness somewhere between porter and creamy English yeast qualities.

Ah ha, definitely lactose added, making for a real rich and crafted brewing pleasure. They hit it real nicely on this one.

Canned on 3/26/2018 and poured into tulip glass. It pours mahogany with cola hues when held to the light, and a half finger of foam, light khaki lacing that dissipated quickly leaving thin, soapy lacing. The nose improves as the glass warms a bit and features roasted malt, coffee, raisin, oatmeal, cinnamon, and nuts. There are also whiffs of tobacco and char. The first thing I taste is cinnamon followed by a strong flavor of oatmeal that lasts. While I can taste the raisin it's subtle. It finishes with notes of brown bread, nuts, and burnt coffee. What's interesting is the pleasant oatmeal after taste. There's almost no bitterness. The feel is rather thin with moderate carbonation, and at only 5.5% ABV you can easily have a second pour. Overall, this is quite good. Not an every day beer but a nice change of pace. It would pair well with light pub fare or for casual drinking.

Pours a simple dark brown color with some coper edging and a finger of head. The nose is on point - it has the essence of an oatmeal cookie. It tastes like oatmeal cookie but unfortunately, like fake cheap oatmeal cookies. The body is thin even for the style.
