We've taken inspiration from beyond the cosmos for this golden-hued Strong Golden Ale and added Galaxy hops to impart passionfruit and peach qualities to its profile of ripe fruit and light peppery spice.

Pours on the orange side, almost a copper color, with a large white head that does linger a bit.

Can smell malt and fruit, hints of floral and yeast.

Lot of pear up front, also some pepper spice and finishes with some lingering bitterness.

Little thin on the palate, but getting a lot of tingling from the pepper spice.

A decent take on the style. Has some of the Belgian characteristics I like, reminds me of some triples. Where it is lacking in complexity, the best Belgians are full of flavor, this one falls just short of the full complexity of a great Belgian. Still, it drinks easily, has a good amount of flavor, and is a nice change of pace from some of the more popular styles. For the price, definitely worth a try.

Golden is correct. Nice white head. Smell and taste of citrus. Feels crisp and fresh. Overall very good just not my style of brew.

Golden pour with a quickly receding white head. No lacing to mention. Billed as Belgian-style but really more of a USA-Belgium hybrid beer. There is coriander spice flavor that is very prominent--maybe overly so. The brewer infuses the brew with Galaxy hops which takes you pretty far from Brussels. What we're left with is a sweet, strong golden ale where citrus and spice clash uncomfortably. The body has a much thinner profile than a true Belgian golden as well. Not a fan.

Beautiful golden color with a medium head that sticks around.

Some sweetness, very smooth, good malt level, great match to the abv, covered well. Stays in the mouth nicely. Tastes like it is supposed to, just a little thinner than a Trappist.

Not overwhelming, in fact maybe a little light, but the comparison to a $7 bottle of Trappist isn't apples to apples. Much more drinkable than an imperial IPA or stout at the same abv.

Puts a $7 draft at a local brewery to shame for the price. Picked this up on sale a ways back, 6/$11 or so, thought it was good, and when saw on sale again, grabbed another six. Will definitely put it in the rotation. When in Tampa, the brewery looks like a promising stop.

Impressive appearance upon pouring into a tulip. Translucent gold with 1 finger white head that recedes to a thin ring within a few minutes, after which it looks less impressive. No lacing. Somewhat faint smell, but stronger taste of stone fruit and, I swear I pick up some coriander. Medium body for a Belgian ale of this type. Mild carbonation. Overall, not bad, but smell and taste are just a bit more muted than my preferred Belgian experience. This may be a good “Intro to Belgian ale” beer for someone who want to dip their toe in the Belgian pool.

Beautiful golden pour. Lots of carbonation. Nice white head.

A bit of a sweet smell comes through, expected for this style.

Drinks nicely, but still a bit too sweet for me.

Good beer. Great price. Worth having.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is gold, transparent, head presents 1+ fingers thick then dissipates to solid top, some spotty lacing.

Smell is a little light but on style - notes of bubble gum, belgian yeast spice, esters, malt sweetness.

Taste is more pronounced - malt, honey, bubble gum belgian yeast spice, esters, light peach and banana notes intertwined, some pepperiness, limited hop but some earthiness.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness - lingering dryness from strength and low FG.

Overall a very good belgian strong pale ale - pronounced yeastiness, some boozy taste, malt and esters.

I tried a taster of this beer off the tapper at Rock Island Brewing Company in Rock Island, Illinois. It poured a clear copper with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had Belgian malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with Belgian malt base with subtle white wine highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Can dated 4/10/23 into pint glass. Pours a clear honey color with a persistent off-white head. No lacing. Initial impression is slightly sweet citrus, peach, and caramel. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Mouthfeel is juicy and sticky. Finish fades to a malty sweetness. Overall, a very enjoyable offering from Cigar City.

Thrilled to add my review, bought in 12 variety pack at WFM.
a) Perfect Belgian strong ale pour, streaming bubble up the sides matrix-like in a deep amber body with creamy off white lasting lacing head. (As good as the originals) Crown indeed.
s) overripe peach and orchard fruit, bubble gum. Aromas spicy, with herbal notes from hops, orange peel, and black pepper notes.
t) Follows aroma. more malty brown bread. a bit of cider.
f) CIdery, sweet on the palate but finishes dry. Creamy carbonation, warm finish from 9% ABV.
o) At 3.5 a can I'd buy this vs the real deal and may currently be the best usa made Belgian strong ale.

Basically salted caramel toffee belgian, burns the throat a little but otherwise alcohol is well-hidden and easy drinking (perhaps a bit too easy for this style). Had on tap at Amity Hall in NY.
