From the can, it pours a reddish aamber with a reallly nice large off white head. The nose is filled with the spicy scent of hops. The mouth gets the lovely well balanced flavor of a hoppy and malty beer. Really well balanced east coast IPA!

Poured from a can into a snifter. Legitimate head and a lovely amber color, which intrigued me in an IPA. Hops really come through in both the nose and tongue. Smooth finish with no diceneranable bitterness. Top tier.

Cigar City knows beer.... pours a hazy amber color, nice head that sticks around. A malty IPA that makes you remember what good beer is. Notes of caramel and bread with a side of hops. Quality beer that makes you glad you paid $12 for a six pack.

Pouring from a 12 oz. can into a wine glass. This beer looks absolutely great. Reddish and amber in color with darker brown notes when not to the light. A very healthy one finger crown that is light tan in color and has good retention. The smell is sweeeet with toasted caramel or bread/cracker like notes. The taste has the sweetness show up front with the notes of toasted caramel or even some slight molasses and then some more dry like cracker notes. A nice and balanced hop presence as well. The cracker notes don't prevent it from being a wet feeling and this seems very able to quench thirst. Overall, hand me another.

L: Had this on-tap at Capital Ale House - Inssbrook, poured into a pint glass. Had a deep amber color and a somewhat hazy consistency. There was an inch of off white, fairly long-lasting head. very good lacing.

S: A nice aroma of malt, hops, caramel, citrus, and pine.

T: Tasted of a tinge of caramel (always welcome), a good shot of pine resin, a lot of malt, some hops (not as much as I would've thought(, and a hint of citrus (lemon, in particular). A solid and smooth flavor, with a lot more subtlety than you'd think. The citrus adds a good dimension to the proceedings.

F: An average amount of carbonation with a clean finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A very solidly made amber ale. Well worth a look.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 01/13/18 CCB 215"
From the side: "BREWED AND CANNED BY CIGAR CITY BREWING, TAMPA FL"

Appearance: The beer boasts a large rocky tan and white head of rootbeer float consistency. It is tan in the cracks where bubbles pop and lighter around the surface. The body is a very murky reddish-orange brown. The body of the beer isn't clear by any means but the head looks amazing.

Aroma: It has a slightly floral hop aroma with just a bit of pine. Not too much going on here.

Taste: It has a nice mix of pine and sweet black tea flavor mixed with a bit of a caramel.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium body with a lot of texture. It feels a bit thick and syrupy on the palate. Drinkability is hampered a bit by the soupy character of the beer but that thickened broth-like texture really gives the beer something to hold the flavor to. It finishes a bit syrupy and wet with a slightly resinous finish.

Overall: It's not an overly impressive beer but it is enjoyable. The strength of the beer is the delivery of simple flavors. It gives this pine hop flavor along with a bit of caramel that feels very akin to a classic rendition of an East Coast IPA. It has a very enjoyable hop presence that can easily grow on a person. I would recommend it and I would buy it again from time to time.

Pours a dark reddish amber with moderate head resolving to thin lacing.
Smell is mostly citrus. Grapefruit and a bit of lemon.
Taste is caramel followed by lemon/citrus with a hint of bitter pine in the finish.
A lot of IPA in its DNA.
