I think that this CAN may have come to me courtesy of my local, in-person trader, tone77, who always hooks me up nicely on his visits. The CANQuest (tm) abides.

From the CAN: "Drink fresh! Do not age! Pour gently into a glass."; "The Tocobaga lived off the bounty of Tampa Bay hundreds of years before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500's. They were potters, tool makers and the only Florida natives to grow maize. The large platform mounds they built are still with us today, with one of the largest found near Old Tampa Bay in Safety Harbor, Florida. Climb to the top, and with a little imagination, you [CAN] see Tampa Bay as they did."; "Graphic design by Eric Swanson. Recipe by Tim Ogden."

I love the auditory nature of the Crack! It always does wonders for my mood, but I feel like a gentle Glug today, with gainful employment beginning just a week from today. It has been a good ride & I have certainly plowed through a lot of beer, like this one. Onward! An in-glass swirl raised a finger of foamy, frothy, tawny head with moderate retention. Color was a pretty Copper-Brown (SRM = > 17, < 22) with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very bready with a smell like CANdied fruits, adding up to fruitcake! Cool. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but close. The taste was a bit more bitter than the nose had led me to expect. It was kind of like citrus rind or peel as opposed to actual fruit. I am not CANplaining as I like that type of bitterness, but it was unexpected. Finish was bready, doughy, slightly bitter, adding up to semi-sweet. I stand by my initial thoughts of fruitcake. Mmmm.

Cheers to another fun day on vacation, went to SeaWorld in Orlando.
12 oz can, poured into a basic glass.
Dark amber color, nice white head, and a few "floaties" in the beer.
It still tasted very good, very balanced with some more hop bitterness up front.

pours a cloudy orange amber with a medium head. chock full of tiny sediment. nose; citrus hops, grapefruit, & sugar. taste; caramel malt, honeyed biscuit, citrus hops, grapefruit zest & pulp, sugar, & light pine. medium carbonation & mouthfeel. probably the best red out there; hoppy and fruity, and maybe just a smidge too sweet. =)

Red ales never seem to get as much hype as other styles but this is top notch!! Smooth with a little roasted flavor. Getting some raisin smell and taste in there. Hops are there but balanced with the malts. Some citrus flavors thrown in. Just very complex but no single flavor stands out. I could drink this all day long!
