A 12oz can with a canned on date of 12.11.15

L - Ruby red, with 2 fingers of head and some lacing left on the glass. Lots of sediment floating around

S - Brown sugar, Citrus hops, caramel

T - Sweet, piny and malty. Some bitter notes at the end. Delicious and well balanced

F - Well carbonated and medium body.

O - An excellent strong red ale. Definitely worth buying again!

Can dated 03/22/16 into a tulip glass. Pours a very dark amber/copperish brown with 1+ finger of variable density tan head that left sporadic lacing. Lots of caramel malt in the nose, due to the age there wasn't much aroma from the hops. Taste is on the sweeter side and a bit bready, definitely more malt forward (possibly due to age) but still some nice hop presence. Mouthfeel was very smooth and drinkable, carbonation medium, and a bit of sweetness lingered on the finish. I'd love to revisit this beer when fresh, I bet it's delicious and I love a good hoppy red.

Normally red ales are just not my jam, but this one was very palatable and easy to drink. It was pretty malty, but did have a very nice sweet finish.
