Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass. Canned on 8/15/14

Appearance - deep amber color with a small creamy white head.

Smell - citrus hops. Grapefruit smell is very forward. Slight hint of caramel malt.

Tastes - follows the nose very well. Lots of citrus hops upfront with a nice taste of grapefruit and orange flavors. The malt flavor balances it out very well with a slighty bready taste.

Mouthfeel - medium bodied beer with slight carbonation. ending is very dry.

Overall - a very good brew by ccb. Definitely one I always love picking up.

Canned 8/15/14. Made in Tampa.

Pours a murky reddish-brown with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with strong citrus zest and herbal hop qualities all around.

Serving type: can.

Had it in a can (which is beautiful; one of Cigar City's better designs, imho, by Eric Swanson). Poured with a nice head; beautiful amber color.

Maybe it's me, but if I had no preconceived notions and drank this blindfolded, I might at first think it was an IPA, so present is its initial hoppiness. Nose is piney and the citrus and pineapple notes are present but not sharp or bitter. Very smooth mouth feel with a malty finish
Quite drinkable. One of Cigar City's best — which is saying a lot!
