We employ the humble cucumber in a low gravity Saison to create a vibrant ale with notes of melon, tropical fruit, lemongrass and, of course, cucumber. Put some cucumber wheels on your eyes, relax, and enjoy. Ahhhh.

Pours clear, gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big cucumber, melon, and wheat. Light bodied, crisp, refreshing sweet with high carbonation. Really enjoy this one. Could have several. Excellent use of the cucumber.

Canned on 7/12/18
Pours a clear, bright gold with 2 fingers of thick, frothy white head; decent head retention and some plentiful and persistent soapy lacing; pretty effervescent, too.
Aroma is build on smooth notes of fresh cucumber, melon husk, and cut a bit by lemon zest and fresh grass, which adds a further vegetal quality; the slightest bit of grain evens out the finish, as well; bright, and incredibly refreshing.
Taste brings a really nice balance of fresh cucumber, light cantaloupe, and a grainy malt profile that is never aggressive; pretty straightforward and vegetal, but never falling out of balance.
Mouthfeel has medium carbonation that dissipates quickly, making way for a crispness on the palate that carries a nice bit of the flavor profile; pretty dry on the finish, as well; decent body, if not slightly thin at times.
Straightforward, easy-drinking, and very refreshing; the cucumber is used nicely, and doesn’t stick around the profile any longer than it needs to; a good balance for an overall sessionable (if not somewhat niche) beer.

Pours a clear golden color with a thumb sized frothy white had. The head displays good retention and yields a lathery ring of lacing.
As expected, the aroma of cucumber hits the nose first. Later into the session, fruity esters emit aromas of pear and melon.
The palate is very dry, while the prominent cucumber flavor provides a clean watery taste. Light peppery spices complement things. There isn’t any hint of the fruity esters from the aroma, although there is light lemon and tartness in the middle palate. The finish is clean, dry and with a hint of spice.
Light, crisp, clean and dry. Feels Lager like at times.
Although the cucumber adds an interesting touch, I would have liked to have seen a greater depth of flavors.

On tap at Brewskival 2018.
Pours an unclear orange, with little foam.
Smell is slightly yeasty with some banana, but really... this smells like a cucumber.
Taste is, once again, a cucumber, dipped in some funk and yeast. Very refreshing, but not very deep.
Mouthfeel is thin to medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a very refreshing palate cleanser.

Smells unbelievably like cucumber, and tastes like it too. But it is weak and just a bit too much like a slightly alcoholic cucumber juice to be that appealing, unless that’s what you’re super super into.

Pours a golden color with a fluffy white head that settled into an uneven cap. A shade darker than a typical saison.
The aroma is straight up cucumber. Perhaps a touch of hay and other saison yeast aromas but hard to tell.
The taste is of a juiced cucumber. Quite strong in the cucumber. I don’t really get much else though I can see the cucumber masking the hay and other phenols from the yeast.
The feel is moderate with a soft fizzy carbonation. Drinks quite light and dry. A good change of pace beer or palate cleanser.
Basically a cucumber beer. Don’t get much if any saison notes.
