Poured from 750ml bottle into snifter
Bottled May 23, 2013
Consumed August 20, 2013

A: Clear amber color, nice fluffy white head with small dense bubbles. Head settles to a dense creamy foam. Carbonation bubbles continue to rise in a playful dance against a translucent orange backdrop.

S: Earthy, fresh cucumber from the garden, Ripe cucumbers boardering on a tinge of sour, almost lemon-like. Spices, a bit of honey, possibly currants, a bit of tropical fruit and lemons.

T: Smooth, clean cucumber and lemon taste with a some nice herbal-ness to it. A very refreshing taste. The cucumber is very apparent and plays center stage in this beer with the supporting actors of lemon, citrus, spices, and honey sweetness.

M: Smooth, clean, creamy mouthfeel. Good carbonation.

O: This is a very interesting beer. It's not your typical saison, there's lots of earthiness but in more of a cucumber/fresh vegetable/garden way. A very refreshing beer, much like cucumber water at a spa is very refreshing

Thanks to cubanbeerguy for the bottle. Tasted 16 August 2013.

Pours a slightly hazy medium straw yellow. Huge frothy fuzzy white head, 3+ fingers. Great retention, and really the only complaint is that the lacing isn't as impressive as it could be.

Smell is a saison with cucumber slices on top. Exactly what I was hoping for, but it comes out really clean, with the cucumbers adding a greenness and brightness. I wish there were more saison coming through; what's there is rather earthy and yeasty. But the cucumber is potent, and it works well with the base.

Taste is okay, but a bit dull. Tastes like mildly bitter cucumber skin, without a whole lot of saison character. Grainy and mildly bitter, but not a whole lot more to it.

Feel is quite good. Medium-bodied, smooth, with buoyant frothy carbonation that flares up and slowly fades. Really nice.

Well, it's a cucumber beer, but I'm not as convinced that it's a saison. I like it, mostly based on how it present the cucumber. I want more saison, though.

Acquired in a trade from Rynosf23, thanks Ryan!

A - Golden Brown, Big white - lots of small bubble- light carbonation head, lots of streams of carbonation rising, lacing to high beer mark, lot goin on, not translucent but light does pass thru

S - Overly Ripe cucumber, melon, earth, small lemon

T - Ripe cucumber, pepper, some earth and lemon on the finish, lots of sorachi ace hops!

M - High high carbonation, light, fizzy, champaign like

O - Wow there is plenty of cucumber. Unfortunately its seems far to ripe. When I slice a cucumber for a salad or sandwich - it isn't this pungent. Carbonation level is very high - makes it somewhat difficult to taste the beer while cold. After some warmth it is refreshing. Reminds me of Goose Island's - Sofie. Doesn't have enough lemon. And I constantly keep thinking of my lotion.

Do I really really like cucumbers???!!! Nope but do I really like this beer???!!! Yes, it is light, refreshing and crisp. It appears golden and hazy. Smells of citrus and cucumber. Taste is of a nice saison, some light fruit and the crisp and refreshing taste of cucumber. Really will clean the palate and could an amazing in between beer if it was available in 6packs (I only found it in a 750ml) Would drink this on a hot day out by the pool any and every hot day of the year.
