On draft at Kickbacks Gastropub.

Nice, dark, black pour. Mocha/khaki head, pillowy with a solid 2 fingers of head.

Coffee, licorice and roasted nose with a pleasant dryness towards the finish.

Licorice, roasted coffee beans and a bit of chocolate in the finish. A strange character to the mid body, almost...funked. Sigh...

Prickly mouthfeel. Some signs of souring.

Overall, great beer, but I feel this is another soured beer from Cigar City. Shame.

Pretty hot for the ABV, definitely made to make it over the high seas.

Rich, malty and roast goodness. Dangerously drinkable in my opinion. I get more coffee than chocolate on this beer but the Chocolate & Vanilla cask version was quite nice, as well.

On tap at the brewery:

Really smooth and creamy; a very dark brown body with a mocha-colored head. Lots of coffee and chocolate in both the nose and taste. Definitely delivers on par with Cigar City's excellent other stout offerings. Lots of creamy, chocolate milkshake flavor, with very little bitterness and just a touch of boozy heat. Liked it less than Good Night, Mekong, but it was still extremely good and very drinkable.
