Pours a black color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of chocolate. Tastes of chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied with an obvious alcohol presence. Medium roasted bitterness. Good mouth feel.

L - Pitch black with a nice creamy, frothy tan head that sticks around leaving behind a ton of lacing - a really fantastic looking beer.
S - Creamy, sweet, roasted toasted oats and coffee along with some dark chocolate
T - Follows the nose: roasted and toasted oats up front and throughout along with notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate along with a little sweetness from the lactose
F - Medium to full bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O - A really fantastic porter - simple flavor profile, but executed really well.

I don't see a bottle date listed. This bottle states "ALC. BY VOL. 8.3%"
Appearance: The body is black and it has a short khaki head. Moderate head retention.
Aroma: It has a light chocolate aroma with a very light roasted note. There is a hint of alcohol.
Taste: The beer has a light bit of burnt toffee flavor along with a light bit of baker's chocolate. A light bit of coffee flavor builds up on the palate the more the beer is consumed. The aftertaste is carbon.
Mouthfeel: It is medium-full bodied with an obvious alcohol presence. Medium roasted bitterness.
Overall: It's a pretty good Imperial Porter. The weak points are the obvious alcohol presence and that although the label states that it is "BREWED WITH Lactose" it doesn't really have that hallmark sweetness or texture. I could drink it from time to time. I wouldn't recommend for or against it.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: A decent, but slightly underwhelming, aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, cream, coffee, and lactose.
T: Tasted of a good amount of roasted malt (present throughout), mild lactose notes (a subtle presence), a decent shot of coffee (not as much as expected), light caramel (fleeting), a bit of chocolate and some cream. Not a bad flavor, but like the aroma, it's a little thin and underpowered. Not terrible, though.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth, creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but it has some good qualities.

Poured a black body with decent head and lace. Aroma is clean with notes of lactic qualities and sweetness like vanilla. Smooth, easy to drink, the milk addition in this beer aims for sweetness and creaminess as the beer almost has a chocolate milk feel. Real easy to drink and my chilled bottle may have made this somewhat simplistic (I really only get chocolate, touches of toffee and vanilla, and a creamy body) but it is still real good.

Pours with an excellent, firm, 2 1/2 finger dark tan head, with equally impressive retention, atop a dark black body.
Impressively roasty nose, reminiscent of dry Irish stouts and English milk stouts. Red grapes, waves of char, toffee, vanilla, cola, coffee, yeasty banana notes.
Flavor has hints of that old school flavor, but really delivers on a modern, American take on a milk stout (errr, milk porter?). Thick, creamy, rich, with plenty of roast up front and throughout; smooth milky creaminess; red grapes, banana, nuts, char, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, coffee, milk chocolate
Full bodied and creamy, expanding to absolutely fill the mouth. Wonderful feel.
