A traditional schwarzbier, Ligero pours brown to light black with notes of roasted coffee and nutty expressions. The flavor has elements of smoke with roasted espresso beans, sticky caramel-covered almonds and notes of dry dark chocolate in the finish.

Had on tap. Fantastic Schwarzbier with excellent execution of the style. Dark and malty with notes of chocolate, nut, and even toffee. Yet still crisp and a tad bitter to balance the beer out. A relatively heavy beer even at 5.5% ABV. Hope to see this beer more often and would obviously recommend it.

On tap at the Broken Barrel in FL.
Pour was near black with a thick tan head that looked like a nitro pour.
The aroma is markedly less appealing, strong and rich compared to the flavor. The flavor has a load of dark roasted grains with a trace of smoke but negligible char. Hints of coffee and dates.
O: recommended.

A good roasty medium bodied offering. Notes of coffee and a a good malty finish. Great beer for the style, something easy to drink with a good flavor profile

Pours a dark brown color with off-white head. Dark malts, cereal grains, and some bread and biscuit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with roasted malt.
