750ml bottle. Not sure how old this one is. Poured into a snifter 9/28/2014.

A- Hazy lighter yellow-orange body, one finger filmy head with good retention time, not much lacing. [3.5]

S- Spices galore, lots of cedar, a little bit of sweet caramel. And you know, that's about it. It's very cedar-heavy, similar to Cigar City's Humidor series beers. Honestly smells quite good. [4.25]

F- Unfortunately it just doesn't work on the palate. Essentially ends up tasting like cedar-soaked water. Sure, I can search for and find a few other flavour descriptors, but they really don't do much for me since the cedar dominates overall. [2.5]

M- Medium bodied, a bit frothy and creamy, dry cedar finish. [3.5]

O- Interesting drinking experience in that I've never experienced this much cedar in a beer before, but I definitely would not try this one again. [3]

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Reviewed from notes.

Appearance - Deep burnt orange with a small white head. Decent retention.

Smell - Cedar. Kinda peppery. More cedar. Then some cedar. Might be some pale malts in there, too.

Taste - And the cedar continues. Some malts, but really, it's all cedar. Slightly sweet with some fruitiness. Bitter, woody finish.

Mouthfeel - Overly woody, but it doesn't feel as heavy as other variants. Bitter, too.

Overall - The beer is lost. Way too much wood.
